Perhaps it is because she is over 15 years old, or that she stays all by herself every day, either way, she is the sleepiest cat I have ever owned. Chej'u stays on my bed day and night except to eat and use her litter box.
This is the corner of the bed she claimed as her own. It is right next to my pillows near my head. She has been sleeping next to me for years now. As soon as I get ready for bed she takes her position each night. I get to fall asleep with her gentle purring. Once in a great while she will wake me up with her snoring. lol.

How nice to have your cat sleeping by your pillow. My cats would not sleep by my side. I have trained them to be independent!
I think the cat sleeps next to me because she is alone all day long due to the dog never leaving her alone. She is lonely upstairs all by herself.
My cat got up from my bed soon after I went to bed! Joan preferred to sleep alone and have the bed to himself! 😂
