We went to Bulls Head Beer Garden at Kissel Valley Farm

@flowerbaby’s first legal alcoholic beverage

After spending our first day at Hersheypark while visiting my brother in Pennsylvania, it was on to day two. We woke up at a decent time Sunday morning and eventually made our way towards Lititz, which some a few may know as "America's coolest small town". I had been to Lititz once before, more on my visit last year here. This time, instead of walking around the cool little town, we were stationed just outside of town.

Our destination on this perfect Sunday was a 19th Century 21-acre farmette called Kissel Valley Farm. My brother Chez had this bright idea to check out a pop-up beer garden put on by Bulls Head. This company also owns the restaurant that Chez and I got photos on their fancy couch in February of 2020. Those photos were in the Lititz blog from last year that I linked above.

One big deal was the fact that this was @flowerbaby's first 21+ event since reaching that age back on June 4th, 2021. This means she was finally able to drink with the rest of us. She was a bit hesitant to do so at first, but I think once reality set in she was thrilled. I could see the excitement and nervousness in her, it made me so happy to witness.

Normally a beer garden isn't something @flowerbaby and I would elect to go to with one another. Despite that, I trusted my brother's plan and just went with the flow. I knew it would be a good day, but little did I know it was about to be even more fun than I had imagined.

Read on more to find out why it became such a special day for us all.

Cornhole by the purple flowers

My first impression upon pulling into the grass parking lot was WOW! This place was so open and gorgeous. There was plenty of space, everyone was having a great time by the time we arrived around 2 pm, and I saw lots to do. There were nearly a dozen cornhole boards for us to play the fun bean bag tossing game. A stage had musicians playing tunes for the crowd. Most people had lawn chairs, some on blankets, and others at picnic tables. Multiple food trucks were set up to cater to the demanding bellies of each guest. Best of all was the Bulls Head taps which featured many different craft beers and mixed drinks.

I have to admit that everyone that faced me in cornhole eventually met defeat. Ever since being the bean bag tossing champion at my elementary school, my confidence has been through the roof with the game. I think cornhole is one of the best games to play while drinking. YES even better than darts and billiards.

As you can see from the following photos, @flowerbaby and I did our thing with the camera. Posing in front of this majestic field of purple flowers right next to the cornhole area. The weather was magnificent that day. Sure it was super hot outside, but I don't mind working up a sweat (especially when I'm working up a buzz.)

@flowerbaby's first legal beer. Poor girl let me convince her to try a gummy bear IPA. It was so strong, she wasn't a fan. The mixed drinks later on were much more her speed.

This is my favorite photo of the day. @flowerbaby looks so beautiful, happy, and most of all LEGAL AF!

Food truck city

You probably thought this was going to be all about beer. Not true! The food was equally as impressive as the brews. I went with the Chunky Rooster from the Crave food truck. A burger with chunky peanut butter, cheddar cheese, spicy strawberry jam, and bacon crumbles on a brioche roll. This was one of the best burgers I've had in my entire life. I partially blame this on the lovely day/location, getting to enjoy it with Chez while he also ate one, and being a little tipsy. Plus this combination of toppings was pure genius.

Chez and @flowerbaby both got a steak sandwich from the What's For Supper food truck. I got to try a few bites and damn it was yummy too. I believe it was on a Hawaiian sweet roll, which really made the sandwich.

Chez and his fiance Kristian tried something from the Grappling Crab Shack as well. I really am not sure how they were able to eat so much food, I was full after just one burger. I'm sure the food trucks were happy to have all of our business.

@flowerbaby sipping on her first gin and tonic. I knew she would like that one. She also tried a Moscow mule that she thought was pretty tasty, although not quite as enjoyable as the GT. For sure better than that IPA she had to pass to me to finish.

It was a scorcher

I am so glad that we thought to put sunscreen on before we arrived. There was absolutely no shade and the sun was at full force that day. We were all pouring the sweat the entire time. It wasn't a big deal to me, I was happy to improve my tan some more. It was easy to be distracted from how hot it was with all of the exciting things going on.

I got to meet Chez's new friend named Christian (confusing I know, since Chez's fiance is also named Kristian) that he works with at Greenfield. Christian was there with his step-dad and girlfriend Megan. I really didn't talk with them much, but I could tell they were cool people. I am just glad that Chez has people to hang out with in PA now that he no longer is living here in WV.

By the time we captured these photos, @flowerbaby was a bit drunk for the first time since I've known her. It was pretty funny to witness. She became even more happy-go-lucky than she normally is. Also just look at the backdrop, something about the green expansiveness of farms has always intrigued me. It also reminds me of a giant Battlefield map, which of course is near and dear to my gamer soul.

A fine opportunity for photos

Before we finally left for the day at 5 pm, we got some last photos. There were great spots to pose at all over the Kissel Valley Farm. I wanted to leave my mark on all of them. This old-school yellow Ford was another must, especially with the fine craftsmanship just behind it. I'm so happy for Chez and Kristian, also @flowerbaby, and myself. We are all so lucky to not be alone in life. Cherish your time with your loved ones, otherwise, you may wish you had done so more often later on in life.

A great time at Kissel Valley Farm

This event was the best part of the weekend. Chez, you are an absolute master planner for suggesting we go check this place out. I had an absolute blast and am so happy that we were able to join you and Kristian at this awesome beer garden. I will remember this day for the rest of my life.

The Kissel Valley Farm sign. Right across the street is a matching yellow 69 Camaro, which is such a badass car. If you know you know. Looked a lot like Bumblebee from the Transformers films.

Thanks for checking out my blog 😎🤝

I hope you had as much fun reading through this. I know I enjoyed every second of throwing it all together for the world to see.

Keep sharing all that fun mate, you're like a pile of energy (a probably fun, from the looks of the faces on the pictures). Can you pack all that in a pill and sell that on HIVE? I need to buy some for some SOS days... :P

You already know I'm gonna keep it coming. I love living life and sharing it with people is a huge added bonus.

I sure wish I could dispense the amount of joy I get out of all this to others. The best I can do as of now is continue creating and presenting it in a manner that is easy to digest.

If you have a good sense of humor, then you’re gonna love my new video I have coming out next week. It’s unlike anything I’ve posted before and a bit edgy I must say. I cannot wait to see the reaction it gets 😏

Eagerly waiting for it =)

Thanks for the !ENGAGE 50

I don't know why, but I think it would fun to go out with you man haha, you look charismatic.

Great photos btw

Well I appreciate that. I like to think that I'm a great time and love spending time with others. I look forward to the day that I can go to another Hive meet up. Would love to hang out with other cool people on here such as yourself. Thanks for stopping by!

You clearly do not take that for granted! You, your girlfriend and friends take beautiful photos, and are very creatively talented, and such a positive impact for people, thanks for sharing all the positive vibes, keep it coming man! 😀

I've seen far to many people regret not spending time with the people closest to them. I don't want to make that mistake, I do it every chance I get.

I appreciate your comment, as it was just as positive as my blog. Much love 🙌

Seems like you've had an amazing time with your peeps mate! Glad to see it, I've got an awesome vibe from reading this, thank you for that. Have a great day!

I’m glad you were able to feel the energy I put into this one. It’s all real.

Haven't see you post for awhile bro. Going to be releasing anything new soon? I always thought you did awesome work and would love to see more from you.

Hey man! Actually I've got great content ready to post about, but I spend 8 hours looking in a monitor daily and I've brought 5 people on Hive. That was kind of too much to me to explain them all the story behind it, I reached the limit. Just needed bit time to rest.
