The Home of Guinness

in BEER4 years ago

The weekend came and it is time for a #BeerSaturday post.

im
I visited Dublin two years ago. The capital of Ireland is a great place to visit, especially if you like to drink beer.

Of course, one of the first places I went was the Guinness Storehouse . That's where they make this beer.. One of the most famous breweries in the world.

im

It is very interesting that in this area of Dublin the most famous transport is.. riding a horse :) Yep, that is true - you can catch a horse taxi.

im

The Guinness buildings is constructed in 1902.

Don't ask why I kept my hands in my pockets - the weather in Dublin is actually very windy. After all, Ireland is on the island :)

After we finished our tour in the Storehouse,
it was finally time to go to the nearest pub and drink a few beers.

im

Here's what a typical Irish pub looks like.

Whenever I go to a pub, I find a funny poster or photo that makes me feel good.

This time I shot it :

im

I believe that I should not say what I have ordered. This is quite obvious.

GUINNESS BEER! A cold one :)

im

Actually as I remember I drunk two of them :)

In this photo I look much stronger than now .. I will start training again soon .. 😀

im

Of course, I was not alone in the pub. My girlfriend @gigiii was with me.
She had never tasted beer in her life, so I was very surprised when she told me she would try my Guinness beer ...

im

But as I guessed, she didn't like it.
Gigi hates beer ever since. I can understand it - honestly Guinness is not the best beer for me ..
im

When we left the pub (where, by the way, they didn't offer food..) we went to a restaurant for lunch..

We were walking when we saw this lovely house.

im

Gigi took a picture of me with the house because I am a big football/soccer fan and every time when I see stuff like this my heart beats faster :) In my opinion, this is an act of patriotism.

Dublin is a very cool place for visit. I recommend everyone who visits this city to check out the Guinness House and the area around it - the pubs and restaurants there are really amazing! C'mon the dubs!

Thank you all for reading :)

Stay positive!

Good stuff my friend. I am Irish and from Dublin. Not too far form where you visited. Glad you had a good time in my city while you could. Dublin will always welcome you back when things return to normal!

Peace!

Nice to hear from you mate :)

Nice story about Guinness, @lyubo19. I’ve never been there before, but maybe I will someday.
But speaking of beer, Guinness dark is too strong for me, really, as you say, two is enough :)

Yep, two is more than enough haha 😀

What a perfect thing to do in Dublin

Thanks mate :)

There is no accounting for taste is there? I remember one of my first underage beers in a british pub year ago was Guinness. I suppose I will have to rescind my Beerologist title if I never get to visit that brewery. Some day!

Great stuff and solid !BEER

Hey :) Thank you for stopping by! I wish you to visit this place! By the way there is a little difference between Irish and British bar. In England they are offering “Fish and chips” almost in every bar 🍺 When you drink a few beers you need to eat 😆

Nice 🍻

Nazdrave :)
