Antiquity Blue Whisky : "Sipping slowly, savoring fully" [Cheers to the weekend]

in BEER4 days ago

With the change of season, comes the change of taste. I have seen, many people often changes their drinking preferences to "whiskey" during winter because it creates a sensation of warmth due to its rich, spicy flavors. Alcohol in whiskey temporarily increases blood flow to the skin, making us feel warmer despite not actually raising our core body temperature. I have been a regular Beer lover, but during winter, I prefer to avoid it due to its chillness. I usually avoid drinking, whiskey because of its smell, and the chances of getting high. But today my friend insisted me to try Antiquity Blue , a premium brand or whiskey that promises a lot.

I am a seasonal beer lover! People often shift from beer to whiskey because whiskey has a higher alcohol content, providing a stronger "punch" and a more complex flavor profile compared to beer, which is usually considered milder and more refreshing. Trying a all new brand is always risky, especially when i am not alcoholic person. On persistent request, I joined their group, especially I wanted to eat non veg today. But in process, I ended up cheering a peg of whiskey with them.

"Antiquity Blue", is typically bottled in a tall, cylindrical glass bottle with a distinct royal blue color. The bottle gives a sleek and refined appearance, often associated with the traditional design of premium whiskey bottles. Antiquity Blue, is considered special in India because it is a premium blended whisky crafted with a combination of rare Scotch malts and Indian malts, resulting in a complex flavor profile with prominent notes of peat smoke, honey, dark fruits, and rich wood, offering a smooth and mellow taste often described as a "royal pedigree" among Indian whiskies. It is known for its meticulous blending process and use of high-quality imported white oak casks for maturation.

Considered one of the top-tier Indian whiskies due to its quality and complex flavor profile. Antiquity Blue has an antique gold color when mixed with water. Here in my area, people like to make peg in plain water. "Antiquity Blue" variant, is described as having a smooth, mellow taste with prominent notes of honey, caramel, cinnamon, and a hint of peat smoke, often accompanied by grassy aromas and a rich wood character, giving it a complex flavor profile with a velvety mouthfeel; essentially a blend of sweet and smoky elements with a smooth finish.

As I taken my first sip, of this premium brand, the feeling is particularly comforting in colder weather. "Antiquity Blue" variety, is not considered to have an overly strong or unpleasant smell. While the smell is noticeable, it is not considered overpowering or offensive. I was afraid of it but after drinking a glass, it does not affected much. It is a premium Indian whisky that is known for its smooth, mellow taste and balanced flavor profile. So there was not much risk associated with it.

The best way to drink whiskey is subjective, but some whiskies are meant to be enjoyed neat, while others are better with water or mixed into a cocktail.

Peace!!

I drink the majority of my whiskey and whisky on the rocks. It's just the way I prefer it. I bet this bottle was pretty smooth given the fact that it is a blended whisky. I just picked up a new bottle of whiskey myself today. I am really looking forward to trying it out. I cross posted your post in the whisky community. I think it fits well here. How much was this bottle?

Thanks for cross posting, I was looking for such community alcohol searches , but failed yo get. The bottle cost me around USD 7.6 for 375 ml content. Hope you have a lovely time with the new bottle....I am too new for trying on the rocks...🍻🍻

Very cool! I'd love to see the whisky community grow even bigger. Interesting on the cost. My bottle today was about $60 USD.

Ooopsaa...that is to costly unbottle it.🙃 but surely looking forward to see how it goes with you....🥃 surely u will.love to have it with spicy mutton. As i enjoyed this much more than whisky 😁

I've been trying to cut back on red meat the past decade or so. I really don't eat it like I used to. $60 is pretty middle of the road over here for a bottle. It was quite good!

$60 comes to approx 5k INR, so it quite expensive for a middle class. I am not different as far as red meat is concerned, I eat ocassionally, but once i used to eat in good qty,

I don't know that one, but you are inspiring me to have a Scotch this evening. Enjoy!

Hahaha...and you inspire to try scotch next...or may be someday, as it costs much here...

I love a good bottle of Whiskey and even though I had bad misconceptions about Antiquity Blue my misconceptions were broken just recently a couple of months ago when a colleague asked me to at least try it and I was definitely surprised by the smoothness of the Grain Whiskey in hand.

I am not a guy who loves to drink NEAT but Antiquity Blue was a Smooth Whiskey that I could see myself drinking NEAT

Being mu first time, I was hesitant buy it goes down well....BTW I was in kolkatta...where I took my whiskey sip....
