It was about to dusk when I was sitting on a bench outside of the room where I am currently working. It was also my former school when I was a high school student. While looking around, I have seen so many changes. As the fresh air of the wind touches my skin, the birds that are chirping and the voices of my former teachers that all I can hear in my ear, I decided to take some photos of green fields, green leaves of a tree, and the scenery itself. All of my memories that were left in this place, flashes back. I can imagine the laughs that we've shared, the fights that we've encountered, the performances that we had practice, the songs that we sang, and even those romantic courting of students wherein the boys ask for a girl's answer while holding a flower and a chocolate.
That's right, you have read it correctly. So many memories, right? It was my place where I spend most of the time rather than being at home. A second home indeed. This is where I learn to stand on my own since it became a battlefield to my academics. I compete with my classmates to get better grades. But, I was once a headache to my teachers. I was called to the guidance office multiple times because of my stubbornness and being jolly. Do you want to know the reasons behind this? Then let me tell you.
1st offense, I have this group in my room. I was late on that day, but little did I know they had wronged one of our classmates because they teased her by pulling the chair. She told our teacher. That's the time our teacher scolded us. If no one will admit, then all of us will be called to the guidance office. I was so afraid that the whole section would be offended. That's the time I volunteered and said that it was my fault.
2nd offense, I was known as a person who has a lot of pride. My best friend and I didn't talk for almost 6 months. So I refused my teacher. For us to be friends again, the only way to fix our relationship is to go to the guidance office. After that, our bond returns to how we really are.
3rd offense, I sang in the middle of the exam. So it was prohibited to make noises. I was unaware that I sang it too loud. Since, I disobeyed my teacher then you know what happened next.
Those are some of my offenses. And looking back with those memories of mine, I was laughing alone. I wish I could turn back time for me to be able to correct my wrongdoings. But on the other side, it is good that it happened. For me to be able to realize what I did. It may be because of small reasons or big reasons.
I remembered someone told me that, if I need to refresh my mind just look at a green object for it will lighten your burdens. It was proven while I was looking at the scenery that it is surrounded by green grasses and trees.
Thus, this proves that even on a hectic day, having piled workloads, there is still a moment where you can freshen your mind from stress. Nature reminds us to look on the brighter side. Sometimes, they are the reason why our memories return from being treasured and being forgotten. This also helps us at ease from stress and having a freedom to think widely.
