It was a late blog due to the hectic time of my schedule.

It's Saturday and we can't have our early walk because it was the first day of the Misa de Gallo, in the Philippines it is called "Simbang Gabi".

The Simbang Gabi will be held at 4:30 in the morning and this event is carried out for nine days in praising the birth of Jesus and the last day will be the christmas day🎄. Anyone can complete that mass may God grant their wishes and that celebration happens every once a year in every month of December and I know everyone does it. And I am looking forward to completing that nine day mass for myself because from what I remember I did once complete that nine day mass.

I am one of those who are ready and excited for the first Misa de Gallo.

🎄Misa de Gallo

Before I go to sleep, I set my alarm at 4:00 a.m. Maybe because of my excitement, I woke up before my alarm went off.

On the day of the first Misa de Gallo, maybe my buddy was excited too maybe because it's our first Misa de Gallo together. He was on the outside waiting for me and I thought that I was the one who prepared first. So, when I wake up, I rush to get ready right away.

I expected we would be late for church. When we arrived, it had not yet started. With the number of people who attended, there were no vacant seats and we forgot to bring our plastic chairs. You can bring a chair and sit on the side of the church and that's how it's been done since then.

Mass begins at 4:50 a.m. it's great when you're in the church before the mass start. I feel relieved by the ringing of the bell and music in the church.

🤍☕ HOT CHOCO

After the mass, there will be hot choco and rice puto to be distributed outside of the church. But, We just went to a bakeshop and bought bread and dropped coins in a coffee vendo and we chose to drink hot choco.

🌊🩵MANGINHAS (picking up sea shell)

After we finished having hot choco at the bakeshop, we were going home, but we passed by the road near the sea and we saw that it was low tide so, we decided to go home and get dressed and we will go back to the sea to get sea shells.

At 7:08 in the morning we are ready and we will go to the sea for "Mangihas" this is the Cebuano term of picking up sea shells and sea creatures that can be eaten what is on that sea dry area.

You can see in this picture how wide the low tide of the sea at that time.

📍Hermit Crabs

First I saw a group of sea shells that were small but if you pick them up you will know they are sea hermit crabs.

Buddy first noticed this small crab walking, he picked it up and let it walk in his palm. It's so small, it can be eaten when it grows up. Then he returned it.

I experienced my slippers sinking into the mud.

The second thing I saw was the sea snails that can be eaten, I was suddenly happy because I said that I was very lucky to see so many of them that I sat down to pick them up when I thought almost all of them were hermit crabs. Hahahaha🤣 can't eat these, I left that part laughing as I walked away.

Because the sea was low tide then, I noticed this sea urchin if you want to touch it you will definitely get hurt. His ability to move to other areas with his spines is amazing.

📍Leon's Paw Sea Cucumber

I saw this one in the lion's paw sea cucumber, we called it "Bahagbahag" in cebuano. Sometimes while I was walking in the water to look for sea shells and I didn't notice that this creature was wrapped around my foot, and I screamed and jumped thinking it was a snake hahaha it's a different feeling when you feel its skin, I was scared I feel like it will stick to my skin and I can't remove it hahaha but it's not like that.

📍Philippine Star Fish (Chocolate Chip Sea Star)

After a few steps I noticed this star fish. His beauty can be glimpsed on the surface of the earth when there is few sea water.

They are also able to move places from what I witnessed when they were moving, they have small soft feet so they can move anywhere they want to go. They use thier small feet to walk are called tube feet, which are slowly moving.

I put them all together for a photo and took a picture of them. I love their shape and different colors.

📍Sea Urchin

This sea urchin is scary. It has sharp thorns. Black color, sometimes with white color. When the sea recedes they can be seen in this condition sometimes under the coral or next to the rock. When they are not hidden, you can see that they have all their spines to protect themselves from being eaten by their predators and also to avoid them because everyone knows that the spines of sea urchins are painful when it pierce to human skin, then I experienced a stung from a sea urchin because I was not paying attention so I stepped on it.

When the tide is high and you bathe in the sea or dive into the ocean, you will see them in groups at the bottom, they are also easy to notice because their color is black. Just don't try to get close, you might get hurt, but if you want to see it up close, be careful. You will also notice their eyes glow white. They also move with their tube feet.
Sea Urchin can move or walk with their spines or so called their arms and their tube feet as far as I have observed.

📍Green Brittle star

It is also a type of star fish and it is called a brittle star fish. It also has different colors, from what I saw, green and gray. Buddy can touch them and he put them in his palm, but I just want you to know that I'm not afraid, I just don't want to touch them because of his feet that tickle me and make my hair stand on end. Brittle stars are seen under and next to rocks and corals, sometimes they can also be seen crawling. I noticed that when some brittle star fish accidentaly cut there legs but still they are still alive.

📍Beautiful Star fish

I honestly don't know the name of this star fish. When I noticed him I came closer and stared, his color was different and were beautiful. It's the first time I've seen a star fish like this.

📍Another kind of Sea Urchins: Belong to the family of Cidaridae.

I have only seen this type of sea urchin in my entire life. When I first saw it I thought it was a stone but the longer I stared I realized it resembled an urchin.

📍Flat Worm

I can only handle a few of the sea species, one of which I don't want to handle is this flat worm.

📍Tiny Lion Fish

It is the little lion fish. I just saw it in pictures. I was very surprised when I saw it up close. I hope to see him grow up, but that won't happen because of the vastness of the ocean, he might end up in another part of the sea.

It was the first time I saw a white sea cucumber, most of my acquaintances eat sea cucumber but I have never tried to eat sea cucumber.

📍Oval Moon Snail

I don't know if this oval moon snail can be eaten. I can handle these.

📍Muddy feet

I felt the heat on my face, back, and body so we decided to go home and I noticed that it was 8:48 in the morning.

The sunlight is too bright and hurts the skin.

🔥🍌SABA SNACKS

Today is Saturday and I plan to visit my friend's place. They are like family to me. I'm always welcome in that place anytime. I noticed that they have a "saba" banana which is one of the nutritious fruits. Before it was overrated, we cooked it for a snack but it was almost 11:19 in the morning.

The green with the yellow skin of the "saba" banana, I separated it into pieces and put it inside the pot and filled it with water equal to the level of the banana inside the pot.

Using the wood cut by the ax, make a fire and cook the banana in it.

No need to dry all the water because it is already a ripe banana. And now the banana is cooked and ready to serve.

After the banana is cooked. The wood is still burning, so I thought of putting water in the kettle to have hot water.

🏍️🗜️FLAT TIRE

Unexpectedly, during our trip the motorcycle's tire went flat. we are lucky and the vulcanizing shop is not that far away We walked and buddy pushed the motorcycle. We reached this place in 13 minutes

While my buddy was watching the making of that flat tire, I was sitting on the bench across from the vulcanizing shop, and I saw this day above by the mango tree

🛳️🎫TICKETING OFFICE

A week before, I planned that on Sunday to buy a ticket for myself. When I told about the ticket to the mother of my friend, she said it in a surprising way, that the ticket office where I suppose buy my ticket for my journey back home to my place where I celebrate my Christmas and New Year's Eve session were closed on that day. she said that the ticking office is only open from Monday to Saturday. So, I am very worried that I don't have time and other means to plan to buy a ticket. The ticketing office is open that day until 5pm. So, I hurried and went back to my rental place and got what I wanted to bring, and my buddy came with me to the city.

When I arrived at the ticketing office, I inquired about the available date and time for my boat trip. The agent told me that the days I wanted to travel were fully booked. I was saddened when he said I would not be able to travel this coming vacation. although I knew the air fares were too expensive during those dates, but I tried to inquire even during peak season. The agent told me that the fare is about seven thousand pesos for one trip, and on another plane the fare is around 6 thousand pesos. I know I can't afford the plane ticket. I was disappointed, sad and worried.

I suddenly remembered that the ticketing agent had given me two different ship ticket prices. I asked her about the other ship the 2Go Travel. Then, she looked for it and she was smiling saying that it has 5 slots, so I said please save one slot for me. I smiled and thanked 🙏. So, then I take that slot and I take another ticket for the ship back to cebu. After paying for my ticket, I said goodbye to the agent with a smile.

I felt hungry so, buddy and I have our snacks.

💵💳BUY A GIFT

After our snack, I bought a Christmas curtain for my mom when I got home. I also told her that I bought her a curtain and she was happy, because my mother really likes curtains.

-sometimes you lose hope especially when you experience unexpected things in your journey. don't lose faith there is a way and you will not be abandoned so pray in every situation.
