Hallo Hivers! It's been a while since I wrote my last blog here. This time, I will bring you to my hometown, Nava.
Photo edited on canva.
Nava is a place far from the urban. There is no signal on any mobile phones. And even though it is far from the city, there are plenty of people living there. Maybe people loved to live there for the reason that the place is peaceful and has fresh air (not polluted like in urban areas).
It takes more than 5 hours to travel there from the city. And it has three mini rivers to the outskirts. So when I am deciding to go home from school, I travel as early as I can so that I am not late at night on my way home. And when the season is sunny, the way going to Nava is dry, and when it is rainy, the way going there is muddy. It is much better if the season is sunny and I go home frequently (if I have free time at school and if I have a fare).
Photos below are in sunny season:dry.
(When it is dry season, riding a motorcycle is fine.)
Photos below are the rainy season:muddy
(It is our feet if it's rainy season.)
Nava is a nice place for you if you love to witness sunrise and sunset. Together with the sunrise and sunset, there is a mountainous area that is satisfying to see. As a sunrise and sunset lover, I woke up early to witness the sun rise into the sky. Early in the morning, at 6 a.m., I am already awake and ready with my camera and eyes to witness it. As well, when the time in the afternoon is 5 to 6 p.m., my attention is on the sun setting. And it reminds me that indeed, there are beautiful endings and a wonderful beginning.
The main source of livelihood for the Nava people is in the field. We plant sugarcane, rice, even corn, root vegetables, and stem tuber crops. We sell it seasonally in the city and in the other barrio that is near us.
People living there not only enjoy working in the field, but they also have the freedom to use their free time to expose their talents and skills in basketball, dancing, and singing. Thanks to our barangay chairman for letting us witness, enjoy, and showcase each of our talents and skills in a specific area.
March 30, 2024. Our district has a 'pa liga', or basketball game. All of the districts that have a team are invited to join and have a chance to win. The schedule of the game was every Friday afternoon and Saturday the whole day. The game lasted for 4 weeks to declare the winner. And yeyy! Our team joined the Magic Four, which means our team won. We celebrate a victory party by having a boodle fight. We prepared a native fish called tilapia; we cooked it with coconut milk, and we served plenty of rice. With this simple celebration, we unite and chat together as a neighborhood.
Nava is a peaceful place that is far from toxicity and polluted areas. I love staying there, and I missed my home.

Ah place where you can find peace and simple living!
Honestly, nakakamiss Ang ganitong Lugar, just earning a living is hard, not unless may hacienda ka 😁
I completely understand what you mean. It's indeed a beautiful place to find peace and simplicity, but it can be challenging to maintain a living there. It's true that having a hacienda or a large property can make it easier to sustain oneself, but it's not the only way to make a living. Many people find ways to balance their work and personal life in the village, and it's great that you appreciate the beauty of such places.
What region are you in? I love the peace that your province gives, given that there are no mobile phone signals you can really reconnect with nature and have deep conversations with people you love there. There are a lot of fun things to do like walking around the farm and enjoying the fresh air. I love places like these especially when there are coconuts everywhere it would be perfect to have a buko juice every morning. Enjoy and keep safe always ☺︎♡
Were from Visayas, Philippines. Thank you for your appreciation. Yes, indeed, it is nice to have buko juice, but if you have a tree,.
Beautiful! Simple living but you get to witness a lot of beautiful sceneries in there. And even though it's really far from the city, still, if its me, I will choose to live in there. Buuuuutt, it'll be awesome if there's a signal too. Mahirap naman kapag wala, aguyy. But seeing how people in there can just live even without it, I guess, its not so bad even if way signal.
It's great that you appreciate the beauty of the rural life and the resilience of the people who live there. Despite the challenges, they have learned to adapt and find ways to make the most of their situation.
It's a nice view, it's motivating. Wish to visit your place soon or never. Hehe
Thank you @emminemsss . You are always welcome to visit my place, tara g?
Sure next life. Hehe
