Getting to Know Me: A First Glimpse into My Life

Hello there, Hivers! My name is Bianca! I’m 22 years old, living in the dynamic city of Cebu, Philippines. I graduated last January with a degree in Business Administration. When people hear the name Bianca, they might picture a cheerful girl with a bright smile, and while that’s not far off, there’s a lot more behind those pictures. Bianca is one of my three names, and it’s the one I’ve grown to love the most lately because it feels like it captures the essence of who I am: creative, passionate, and full of life.

My career interests lie in marketing, and I'm always looking for strategic ways that will help me enhance my creative side in the strategic business world. Friends would always remind me that life isn't all about work, and with that, many hobbies keep me going and alive whenever I have time. I genuinely find happiness in the little things in life, whether singing loud my favorite songs, dancing like a professional dancer nobody's, or whipping up something sweets in the kitchen. I'm a reader who loves getting lost with all my imagination in a good book, and I find peace in the simplicity of a long walk with my dog. Photography is also one of my favorite pastimes whenever I am traveling. I love capturing the world's beauty and culture one at a time. And when I need to brush things off, composing music is my go-to creative outlet because it's where I let my imagination roam free.

A little snippet about me is that I’m an ambivert who loves the thrill of staying out all night when I have the time and money. There’s something about the energy of the night that I find irresistible. But on the flip side, I also cherish my bed rot days at home, where I can chill and watch series or movies to my heart's content. I’ll admit I can sometimes be a bit indecisive, caught between the excitement of going out and the comfort of staying in. But I’m working on it; I’m building small productive habits and striving to be more organized because, deep down, I’m a goal-driven person.

Lately, though, I’ve found myself leaning more towards staying indoors. A certain peace comes with it, a sense of calm that I’ve been appreciating more and more. At the same time, I’ve felt this pull to connect with nature, leading me to start eyeing planting as a new hobby. The idea of nurturing something from seed to bloom is appealing, and I think it might be the perfect balance for me, a way to bring a little bit of the outdoors into my life while still enjoying the comfort of home. It might sound contradictory, but isn’t that what life and fun are all about?

I watched the series Sex and the City, and it inspired me to write this blog. Consider me a Carrie Bradshaw wannabe, eager to share my random thoughts, experiences, and stories with you. While Carrie Bradshaw and I share a love for writing and a passion for expressing ourselves, our worlds differ. Carrie thrived in the bustling streets of New York, navigating love and life with a chic sense of style and a column that captured readers' hearts. Meanwhile, I’m here in Cebu, a city that’s vibrant in its own right, blending my love for marketing with my creative pursuits. Like Carrie, I find inspiration in the everyday moments, whether through a song, a walk, or a snapshot of something beautiful. However, unlike Carrie, who is all about high heels and cosmopolitans, I’m more at home in comfortable shoes, with a cup of coffee as I dive into the next creative project. But at the heart of it all, we’re both storytellers, eager to share our perspectives with the world.

Aside from writing, I’ve found a deep passion for traveling. Since I was young, my parents would jokingly ask if I had an itch that couldn’t be scratched because I was always on the move, eager to explore new places and experience new things. I’ve always had this restless energy, a constant desire to be somewhere new, discovering different cultures, meeting people from all walks of life, and soaking in the beauty of unfamiliar landscapes. Traveling has become my favorite way to escape, a chance to clear my mind and distance myself from the worries that sometimes cloud my thoughts.

When I travel, I seek out places that make me feel small, where the world's vastness reminds me of how much more there is to see and experience. Whether standing at the edge of a mountain or staring out at the endless horizon of the ocean, I’m reminded that life is so much bigger than my everyday concerns. These moments of awe and wonder make me feel more connected to the world and to myself in ways that are hard to put into words. The curiosity that fuels my travels also keeps me grounded, encouraging me to go out and embrace new experiences with an open heart and mind.

Through traveling, I’ve discovered not only new destinations but also new facets of myself. Each journey reveals emotions I hadn’t known, strengths I didn’t realize I had, and a growing sense of purpose with every new adventure. It’s not just about visiting different places but about collecting stories, learning lessons, and meeting people who leave lasting imprints on my life. The more I explore, the more I understand that the world is a whole of endless possibilities, and each new experience brings me closer to understanding the greater purpose that drives me forward.

I’m excited to bring my insights to the Hive community, blending my passion for marketing with my love for creative expression. Thanks to my friend Jill, who introduced me to Hive, I’ve found a space where I can share my own story while learning from the diverse experiences of others. It’s an honor to be part of the onboard meeting facilitated by Miss @jeannmazing, who guided me on what to do. She ensured every question I had was answered. Every story has value, and I’m eager to offer insights on merging creativity with strategy, sharing tips on staying motivated and organized, and adding a fresh voice to the conversation. I’m here to connect, inspire, and be inspired by a community of intellectual individuals who share the same passion for storytelling and self-expression. Together, we can create something unique, one story at a time.
