My Favorite Teacher: Teaching, a Noble Calling
Teaching is the only profession that produces another professionals. It is the noblest profession of all, and the most technical, yet the most underrated. It is ironic to say that teaching is the noblest but the way teachers are compensated doesn't reflect their social trademark as so. This is just one of the reasons why some of our licensed teachers choose to left the country in search for a greener pasture. However, despite of all the criticism in the field, I choose this path because I wanted to. I wanted to be like my teacher.
According to Henry Brooks Adam, "A teacher affects eternity, he can never tell where his influence stops." This significantly means that a teachers influence stretches far beyond the classroom setting. Thus, teachers subsequently impacted learners and generations. This emphasizes the significant role of teachers in shaping the future of their students.
Hundred percent, I can say I am what I am today because of my teachers. I am forever grateful for all of the opportunities to learn from them all. They doesn't just teach in the cognitive, but also touches my affective side, they taught me life values which I made my feathers to construct my wings. Yes, my teachers prepare me for a long flight, and I see to it that I am equipped enough with all of the values I've learned from them, to traverse the complexities of the real world.
Moreover, from the time a teacher took his oath, he then acknowledged and embraced the reality that being a teacher will cost them, themselves. A teacher is like a candle, they impart light that guide their students seeking knowledge in the darkest unknown, and even as it burns down, it is with immense joy and a great delight for a teacher to see his students learn even if it cost him, himself. These qualities makes up a good teacher, thus these qualities are the qualities of my favorite teacher. for the question of who is my favorite teacher, I will be naming no names.
But one thing is certain, I have appreciated all of the efforts of my past and current teachers. They are a part of my academic journey and for that reason, they will always be my favorite teachers. Who else will I give the credit for all of my learnings inside the academe? Of course, my teachers then and now. Thank you ma'am and sir! I will be at my best.
That's all for today Hive Fam, I hope you enjoyed reading. Thank you and have a nice day ahead.😊
