Every 12th of June, Filipinos celebrate our independence from all the colonization that happened in our country, on June 12, 1892, the Declaration of Independence was proclaimed when former president Emilio Aguinaldo waved the Philippine flag on Kawit, Cavite. It was the moment when Filipinos felt freedom from all the sufferings of the past and the Philippines is now a self-dependent country.
That independence influenced what we are now, we are now living in peace due to all the sacrifices our heroes did.

And now 2 days later independence day is coming and everyone will rejoice on that day, as part of the celebration, Hive PH created a contest for all Filipinos out there, there are 3 questions to choose but I prefer the question about.
What about identifying as a Filipino on Hive makes it worthwhile?
One thing I like about being here on Hive is encountering a lot of Filipinos who support each other and also appreciate foreign bloggers. It shows that Filipinos will support you no matter what nationality you are for a common purpose. In addition, I can identify easily a Filipino user here on Hive once there's a value of family added to their post. We all know that Filipinos valued family, we can do everything for the sake of our family.
We are willing to look for a source of income to sustain the needs of our family, also some people are working abroad to give better for their families and we have OFW here on Hive who work abroad. In my experience here on Hive, when I first come in and joined the webinar, I admire the persistence of old users to influence new member to join Hive, it's a community of bloggers who helps and support each other.
One evidence I really appreciates is when those times which co-members involved in bad events but Hive family is there to provide necessary support like financial and even emotional support. That's what I like about being a Filipino member here on Hive, we keep our good image as Filipino and showing to the world how nice and supportive we are.
That's why it's not surprising why Philippines is well-known in the world due to Filipinos which shows strong personality despite of all the struggles. Maybe we are influenced by the past struggles our ancestors faced that's why it runs on our blood that no matter what problem we faced, we are still standing and fighting until we conquer our struggles.
