Saint Benedict is the name of our group in AGM or Action Group Meeting groupings in BCBP. In our groupings, we had our AGM twice a month in the respective house of the host couple for that week. We were seven couples in all including our unit leader and action group leader. We completed our AGM despite of many challenges we encountered . So before this year's end, our action group leader decided to have a year-end party. This event is also a thanksgiving party of our AGL for being a permanent employee in DOLE Region 7 being a Senior Engineer.
The party was held at Tarra de Avelle Beach House at Kawit, Medellin, Cebu. From our hometown, it took more or less 20 minutes of travel. The beach is spacious with a swimming pool that can accommodate more or less 30 people. There were also rooms for rent for those who wished to stay overnight.Its cool since the beach is surrounded by trees and ornamental plants.
The event commenced with a prayer and blessings of food. It was followed with a words of welcome by our AGL. Then our get-together dinner followed immediately. After our dinner was the video K challenged and the giving of gifts from our very generous AGL. A couple gifts to us were a very meaningful gift since it's about a family and marriage. We read the message of our gifts and wrote our messages to each couple and affixed our signatures.
After reading our gifts , some went to swimming while others had their bonding and having some drinks. We had a very meaningful year end party. Were so thankful to our AGL for organizing the event as our way of thanking God for all blessings and bounty we received.
