Of course you should because it is exciting!Haha,just kidding. But,before I tell you too much hahahaa, let's keep the mystery alive and interesting. Who exactly am I? Who am I?
Hi! I am Angeline Derrayal, but just call me Angel for short, I'm petite by the way and I'm a 22-year-old.
I currently lived in the City of Naga, Cebu—a place full of kind and loyal people. Haha,just kidding! But honestly, my city or hometown is home to breathtaking sights where you can chill,unwind, and relax with your loved ones you'll never regret it. What are you waiting for? My hobbies?
Okay let me share it to you I have always been have a passion about playing badminton. Why? Because there was a time in my life when someone I loved deeply betrayed me sounds crazy but it's the truth. Playing badminton became my escape, helping me heal and move forward. It’s not just a sport for me, it’s therapy because through playing also can make me happy. I even competed in our school’s intramurals last year and proudly won a silver medal sounds great right? Hahaha
Aside from badminton.
I also enjoy playing Mobile Legends it is mobile game where you can play with your friends and another people. I’ve been playing since I was 15, and just like in badminton, I also joined our intramurals for esport's last year and won second place!
My modest business is another source of pride for me. I'm selling design bouquets out of fuzzy wires.
And make handmade bracelets. This modest business allows me to make my own money, eliminating the need for financial support from my parents.
Music is also a significant element of my life. Can you relate to how the tunes I listen to influence my mood?Hahaha. When I hear a sad music, I get emotional. Haha! But that's the beauty of music: it strongly resonates with our emotions. At the end of the day, we all have different methods and tactics for making ourselves happy as long as we don't hurt others.
My Educational Journey
In the 2022-2023 academic year, I graduated with high honors from Naga Senior high School in City of Naga Cebu it's my hometown of course hahaha, where I studied Accountancy and Business Management (ABM) and was also the President of Girl Scouts of the Philippines.That moment was unforgettable for me also why? it's because I achieved a 97% average! My family was so proud to me I think hahah, and I realized that as long as you do your best and believe in yourself and also have faith in God, nothing is impossible.
After graduating from senior high, by the way I was a Girl Scouts of the Philippines President in our school that time and also officer to many organizations now go back to important matter my first aim was to take a business-related school because that is what I want. However, the school or university in my city that provided this education charged tuition fees, and my family was unable to assist me financially. I chose to apply for a scholarship, however I missed the deadline to submit the required documents. I was disappointed, but I realized I needed to pursue another way. My parents were opposed to my business course decision, therefore I had no alternative but to take the entrance exam at Cebu Technological University - Naga Extension. Thank God, I passed! I think that if something is intended for you, it will happen in God's perfect time.
Currently, I am a 2nd-year college student taking up a Bachelor of Elementary Education Major in Content Education. You might be confused or wondering why, at 22 years old, I am still in my second year. Well, there’s a story behind that, I mean everything happens for a reason.
When I was in Grade 10, I made a mistake that led to misunderstanding in my family. My mother decided that I should stop studying and start working instead.
At 16 years old, after graduating from Grade 10, I applied for various jobs. My first job was at a small eatery, where I worked as a cashier, earning ₱250 per day that ₱250 for me that time is enough. Then, Realizing that this wage was too low, I decided to apply for a better job in Cebu City. I got hired at Triple Venture Company as a Sales Associate, where I assisted customers in buying home appliances and earned ₱350 per day.
Time passed, and when I turned 18 it's my debut and yeah I don't want to celebrate it, by the way I met my someone special. He encouraged me to continue my studies, and with his motivation and encouraging me to go back, I made the decision to go back to school. My parents finally supported me since I had been helping them financially with my earnings. So, I quit my job and enrolled in Naga Senior High School, choosing the ABM strand because I have always dreamed of starting my own business.
Here he is the reason behind of it. Even though the person who's one of the reason and inspired me to return to school is no longer in my life, I will always be grateful for him my ghadd flashbacks hahaha. He played a huge role and also one who's shaping my journey, and because of him, I am now on the path to achieving my dreams. I hope he is happy and contented wherever he is now .
Why Did I Join Hive?
I decided to join Hive because I want to share my experiences with others. Every person has their own story—full of struggles, challenges, and triumphs and that's include me. But by sharing my journey, I hope to inspire and motivate young minds especially you guys. Sometimes, all we need is to hear someone else’s story to remind us that we are not alone that we have someone who can we call friends.
The one who introduced me to Hive was my beautiful classmate, Ate Lynrose/ @helianthus-chloe. When she explained what Hive was about, I became really interested. I realized Hive is more than just a blogging platform for me,it’s like my personal journal, a place where I can express myself freely where no one judge. If I ever need a space to pour out my thoughts, Hive will be there for me.
I’m excited to be part of this community and to meet you all, and I can’t wait to share more of my experiences with all of you. Thank you for taking the time to read my story hope you'll enjoy and learn. Let’s continue this journey together!
Life is a journey full of unexpected turns or whatever it is, but every experience shapes us into who we are meant to be and who we are now just don't repeat the history itself. No matter how many struggles we face, we must keep moving forward forget the past jokeee hahaha. If we believe in ourselves, trust in God’s plan, and work hard, we can achieve anything or whatever it is. Trust the God's plan.
