Hey there,World! Let's chat for a bit.Anyway I am Erica Mae Adelan a 23 year old dreamer from the vibrant city of San Fernando Cebu.Right now,I am diving headfirst into my third year of Bachelor of Industrial Technology at Cebu Technological University,Naga Extension Campus. Life is a whirlwind and I am trying to catch every moment.
Being a student is a constant balancing act.Juggling classes,projects and exams while trying to stay sane is a challenge I face everyday.But I am determined to make the most of my education.I know that with hard work and dedication I can achieve my dreams.
I am the third kid in a family of Six and we are a tight-knit bunch.My family is my rock.With my dad currently unemployed things can be tough my mom works as a beautician which she make your fingernails clean and beautiful.
But my mom's strength and resilience inspire me every day.She works tirelessly to provide for us and her dedication is something I deeply admire.
I try to help out as much as I can from being a working student,I tried to work in a pharmacy and in the big store here in our location as a Saleslady I also help at home and with her work.I have learned a lot from her about perseverance and the importance of hard work.
I have always been dreamed of fairytales.from the stories of princesses,knights and even the magical creatures have always captivated me.I love the idea of happy endings of overcoming obstacles and finding true love.But I also know that life is not always a fairy tale.There are challenges disappointments and struggles that we all have to face.
Sometimes,I find myself wishing that life could be as simple and magical as the stories I read.But the days goes by I am learning to appreciate the beauty in the everyday moments,the small victories and the connections I make with others.I am learning to create my own happily ever after by embracing the present and working towards a better future.
Dancing is my escape which is my way to express emotions that I can't always put into words.When I dance I feel free and alive.It is also a way for me to release stress and to simply have fun.Whether I am dancing in my room or at a party.I love to explore different dance styles from hip-hop to contemporary.Each style has its own unique energy and expression,and I also I enjoy learning new moves and techniques.Dancing is a way for me to stay active,to challenge myself and to express my creativity.
why am I here on Hive?
That is a question I have been asking myself for a while.Honestly,I think that I have a lot to say.A lot of stories,experiences and thoughts that have been running around in my head looking for a place to land.But I have always been a bit shy,a bit afraid of judgment.
Being here on Hive is a new adventure for me.I am excited to share my stories,my experiences and my thoughts with all of you.I am hoping that I can connect with others,also to learn from their experiences and to build a community of support and encouragement.
I am not sure of what the future holds but I am also excited to find out.I am also grateful for the opportunity that I am here and I been part of this amazing community.I am also ready to embrace the challenges and opportunities that will come my way and I am also excited to see where this journey takes me.
I hope that through my stories I can inspire others to find their own voices,also to embrace their passions and to pursue their dreams.I believe that everyone has a story to tell and I am excited to share mine.
I discovered Hive through my boyfriend's cousin,Ate Coleen (@helianthus-chloe).One night,I just overheard them chatting with relatives.They were laughing and reminiscing and then suddenly the conversation shifted to the word Hive.At first,I thought they were talking about vlogs.Everyone was laughing about how they hated being on camera but Coleen corrected them.that It was not about videos but it was about writing like sharing your experiences.It sounded amazing a place where you could just be yourself and connect with others.
Intrigued I listened as they talked about how to join.A few days later ate Coleen created a group chat called "Hive Orientation".She announced that Sir Intoy.bugoy (@intoy.bugoy) had set a date for a virtual orientation, and everyone was excited to learn more. We all agreed to join and eager to see what this Hive community was all about.The orientation with Sir Intoy.bugoy was eye opener.He explained Hive in a way that made it feel accessible and welcoming.He talked about the community,the support and the possibilities.It was not just a platform but it was a place where people could connect,share and grow. He talked about how hive helps and guides the Hive community.He made it feel like a home.
I am forever grateful for the support of my family also my friends and my community.I know that with their love and encouragement I can achieve anything I set my mind to.I am also ready to make my dreams a reality and I am excited to share my journey with all of you.And so,here I am Erica Mae Adelan a 23 year old student,daughter,dancer and dreamer ready to share my story with the world.I hope that through my words I can inspire you to find your own voice to embrace your passions and to create your own happily ever after.
