D Hi let me share this adventure i have done here during my vacation now in Philippines.
I am currently taking my holiday now, during my vacation there are some renewal of training I must complete and one of them is this training of survival craft. A must need to be completed before can comeback onboard again. The training will be conducted at the training site in Cavite near tanza. One of authorize or affiliated training site partnered between our agency that required by our Company. CTSI is the name or known as “Consolidated Training system incorporated” which is 40 years already.
On this training i need to stay to this site for 5 days straight until i completed it. The accomodation facility was so clean and tidy
This is our room contains 8 beds of 8 individuals who will stay here, for them not needed to go home to there own places which can save time for them and easy for them to attend the training on time.
The food here are awesome, delicious filipinos native food. Which is all time favorite. Portions of the food are great enough for you to recover calories and with matching complimentary soups, which can refill if needed.
**Training facilities **
This are some of the shots taken during our training before we started. This is where you gonna train how to upright the liferaft. A liferaft is a raft designed to hold survivor or people abandoning the vessel.
On this site also they will check how will you manage to swim towards the raft and test you to float without doing any movement to preserve heat and energy which is essential to survive the situation a technique for survival at sea.
They taught us also how to wear this suit that what they call TPA (Thermal protective Aid) to avoid hypothermia.
After we did the indoor training we went to the sea to lower the lifeboat and operate it.
They teach us in details the proper way to launch the boat in sequence and communication is very crucial to avoid any casualties or injuries. It is not easy because timing is essential especially during any unpredictable behavior of the ocean or sea that must be consider and understand as well.
The training was successful and everyone got passed and happy to received their certification.
