Graduation Picture Photoshoot

Last February 17, 2022 was our batch's graduation picture photoshoot at Joecel Studio located in G.V Building P. del Rosario Street, Cebu City. Since the pandemic started and online classes happened most of my batchmates went back to their hometowns and now that we are finally taking our graduation photos, everyone went back here in Cebu. I've been looking forward to this day not only because I'll be able to dye my hair afterwards, but also because I'll be able to see some of my old friends whom I've missed greatly.

The first thing we did was go to my bestfriend Gale's place to get our hair and make-up done. We had planned to meet at 5 a.m., but I was unable to wake up early, so I arrived at 7 a.m. Our hair and make-up artists are from Danified. You can find their Instagram account here. It was an incredible experience for us all since their artists are so fun and engaging to us, and they are undeniably skilled individuals. Here are the sample pictures after we got our hair and make-up done:

It was already 11am when we arrived to the Joecel Studio. Some of my classmates were already done when we arrived and some were still waiting. After nearly an hour of waiting, it was finally our turn. For the package that I chose it would have 3 looks: with Graduation Toga, Wacky Photo, and Filipiniana (tradidtional Filipino woman's dress) look.

We also had a group photo with my college buddies. They are the people who made my college life less miserable. People used to always say when I was in high school that college is going to be really really hard and depressing but when I met these people I realized that college isn't really that bad. They are buddies who have become family and I will always treasure every memory that we had.

Currently, we are still on the process of making our theses (there are three of them, plus one on-the-job training project 😑). Though it is very hard to manage the time to do all three theses at the same time, we are still trying to work hard. I sincerely hope that all of these hardships will be compensated. All of the sleepless nights, all of the black coffees that keep us awake, all of the tears shed, all of the worry, anxieties, and uneasiness before any presentations, all of the conflicts and misunderstandings will all soon be nothing but more than just a source of progress and will equip us for what the future has in store for us.

So there are people who kept on asking when am I going to graduate now that I am already taking my graduation photo. My only answer is "Well, those photos are for my Miss Universe Philippines auditions." hahaha since I'm avoiding myself from all of the pressure but kidding aside, I still don't know when is the exact time that I will graduate (cause I'm not sure how all of my theses will turn out) but one thing is for sure I will do everything in my power to graduate and make my parents proud. Manifesting for a positive outcome 🤞.
