Hello Hive friends! It's a day of emotions! I want to express my gratitude to all of you who appreciate my work that I share here in Hive. Thank you so much for all of your support!
Yes! Extra Work!!
As I introduced myself from the beginning, I am a domestic helper here in Hong Kong! Well, it looks already like a book about my life what I'm presenting here...
Anyway, I work a lot here in Hong Kong, because besides my main work I accept a lot of different available jobs as long as I feel to be able to do them.
My main duty here is of course to make the household, cooking, shopping and taking care of the kids of my employers.
Here in Hong Kong it is very risky and not allowed to do side jobs which are not part of our employment contract. But I carry out side jobs anyway, even if I sometimes fear to get caught because I know my main salary is really not enough if I don't exert some additonal work. And besides earning money is a useful way to spend my free time.
That's how it all began: with making the Bed!!
Hmmm... Okay! Let me first tell me how it all began. 14 years ago, before I got hired from my employers... I had to pass an interview about my future work first.
Then my employers asked me to work for them just for 2 hours to test my abilities. My tasks were only to cook 2 dishes for dinner and make the bed. After my work was done I was so proud to show them the bed and the couple said "We like how you made the bed, it's so clean and tidy!" So that's why they hired me, and since then, until now, I am working for this nice and generous family. Congratulation to me!!! Hehe....
That's the bed of my employer!

Part Time Jobs!
Even if my other employers also know that it is not allowed to hire us for example as cleaners, they still do it anyway, because take less money per hour than than Hong Kong citizens.
Sometimes I get jobs just because of recommendations of a friend or of another employer. And you know what? That way it happend that I also worked for an old lady for a while because her original helper was on vacation... The funny thing is that she again praised me for making her bed so well, hehe "After seeing how you made it I feel like I am living in a hotel now! ... Can you please teach Liza how to make my bed like you do it?"
And I am really happy that I can make people happy just by making their beds, hehe.
Below you can see some pictures of my job!

Walk 'my' Dog Milo!
Another of my side jobs is to walk the dog Milo twice a day! This cute little dog has already become a like real and playful friend of mine.

Other Jobs! Ironing and Cleaning!
Hmmmm... I am so sorry to say, but I hate ironing! I don't know why but I always feel too tired after doing it. Some people might like to do it but not me... But anyway I have no choice because it's part of my job.
But I love to clean as I want my environment to be clean. While I work, I don't think much about the pay anyway. I just want to enjoy what I do and to spend my free time in a useful way.

Making and Selling Food!
Cooking, baking, frying food and selling it to my customers is my passion and actually the most important one among all my side jobs.
I hope that maybe one day in future I can open my own business to become completely independent and free.
For example here you can read more about my journey as 'master chef', hehe, and street vendor!

Being Voluntary Worker!
Oh yeah... Last but not least, as you might already know, I like to volunteer and work every Sunday in the Catholic St. Joseph Church and its surroundings ... This photo has been taken last Chinese New Year... We do this kind of work every year...

Super hardworking! Take care of your health also and I hope that God bless you with good health always and a sound mind.
Wow, ang sipag! I heard nga na bawal ang extra jobs from a family friend currently working as DH in Hong Kong. But still, she needs to do it for extra money. Good luck, and I hope you do not get caught hehe.
Sipag naman salute!
Salamat @dantrin!
Siyanga pala, alam mo ba kung ano ang 'sekreto' para maging miyembro (katulad mo) ng Hive PH?
Respect! As someone who works primarily with his brain only and apart from that has 'two left hands', I would surely fail miserably at doing so much hard work.
Hm ... I just wonder if jobs like that are ideal for anybody reporting about knee problems:
In case God existed, he certainly would have an understanding of how important one's own health is ... :-)
