What's up, Hive!
The year is almost over, and I'd like it to end on a good note. I'll share with you a special trip I had with my girlfriend for our anniversary.
My girlfriend and I celebrated our third-year anniversary last November, and as luck would have it, we got a free hotel room on the weekend before our anniversary. The hotel had an infinity pool, and it had a prime view of the city harbor.
After having our breakfast, we went up to the pool. "Let's play a game!" I told my gf. "It's called I Spy." I explained the rules to her, and she gave me a side-eye. "You know I can't see properly!" she said. We were in the pool when I explained the rules to her, and she wasn't wearing her glasses.
We still played the game, but I made sure to choose the larger and more obvious objects that she would see. We then asked each other about our favorite moments together in our 3 years.
I recalled a trip we made to Catmon, where we went freediving, dined at Seasalt Cafe, and stayed at an Airbnb that experienced an outage in the middle of the night. In the morning, we drank our coffee and chocolate on the roof deck of the place while looking out into the sea. That memory gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling.
After checking out of the hotel, we went on a ride to the mountainous parts of Cebu City. My girlfriend wanted to visit a restaurant called Outback Servo. It was located beside the road near Sirao. It had glass walls and a terrace that looked out into the lush green mountains of Cebu City.
We ordered their breakfast platter and some nachos while enjoying the view. I had my second cup of coffee for that day. We talked about the kind of life that we wanted. We shared our views about what it would be like to have a house in the mountains, far from the bustle of the city. It would be so simple and peaceful. But I want a life where technology can bring us convenience. We shared the same sentiment about building a house on secure and stable ground. There was a recent landslide that destroyed houses built on the side of a mountain.
"I spy with my little eye, a tree!" I continued our game while looking into the vast landscape. We couldn't really play that long because, ironically, there was nothing to see amidst the expanse of greenery in front of us. Nature is wide and meant to be taken all in.
We would've stayed longer at that restaurant, but I wanted to bring my girlfriend to a popular flower garden that she's never been to. We visited Sirao Garden. I've been there multiple times, but I am still amazed by the sight of the flowers and the valley below the garden.
There weren't a lot of tourists because the road going to the garden was being repaired and was inaccessible to cars. We circled around the garden and took some pictures. We sat down on one of the cottages and savored the moment together in silence.
I'd completely forgotten about our game. My eyes weren't spying on trees anymore. I could see clearly how happy both of us were.
We left the garden and made our way back to the city. There was one more place we planned on going to, but we missed it, and we didn't want to go back anymore. It was also getting dark, and we wanted to catch the last mass.
We went home, and a brand new "best memory" was made.
That's it! This will be my last post for this year. I am beyond grateful for the blessings I've received and the people who've been with me this year, especially my girlfriend.
I hope to post more in 2023. See you around. Cheers!

I want to say, I'm happy to see you both are happy, and I'm also very happy to get to know you this year. Do ping me when you visit Malaysia again.
I don't usually comment much on an already perfectly crafted post, but I do want to highlight that picture the both of you on the motorcycle. I notice you wear a facemask under the full face helmet? 😂
Glad to know you this year, too, David! Thanks again for the tour in KL. 😁
For a moment I nearly thought there was going to be a surprise twist to the ending of this post 😉
All the best to you guys and many more great years together
I laughed at this. 🤣 The surprise twist in a future post, perhaps? 😂
Thanks, Pauline! Happy New Year. 😁
I'm sure we shall all be very happy to read that future post whenever it's published!

Once again Happy anniversary to both of you🥰
Thank you and Happy New Year! 😁
Happy anniversary to both of you. Wishing you more love and happiness in you relationship.
Thank you! Wishing you love and happiness, too!
First of all, that's it!
You have experienced one of the most beautiful things and you managed to have fun in a place without tourists. Unfortunately, these days there are so many tourists, both local and foreign, in such beautiful places that it is not possible to enjoy these places with the person we love.
You go to places that are marketed on instagtram as a quiet place... there are tens of hundreds of thousands of people.... 🤣
Finally, I hope you smile happily for a lifetime. This was a very enjoyable article and I loved the photos. 🤗
Happy anniversary 🤗
Many happy years. 🤗
