Cebu Province is home to a lot of tourist spots may it be beautiful beaches, enchanting mountains, and also pristine waterfalls.
Last weekend we headed to the beautiful town of Moalboal but we dropped by Mantayupan Falls to have our lunch.
First of, we went to Barili Market to buy our lunch. We are headed south with our motorcycle as our means of transportation, therefore, we could just stop by anytime and anywhere we want.
BARILI PUBLIC MARKET
Since Mantayupan Falls is located in the town of Barili, we decided to stop by at their public market for we will be buying our foods here before we will be heading to the place. I have read on social media that they also have a small canteen but people does not recommend it, it is better to bring your own foods for minimal fees.
Mantayupan Falls holds a special place in my heart since I have been here during my elementary years when I used to compete for the Regional Press Conference. I have a clear memory of how fun it has been here and it is my first time coming back after all this years.
Mantayupan Falls is located in Brgy.Campangga, Barili, Cebu Province Philippines. For full directions, you can use google map or waze.
MANTAYUPAN FALLS PARKING AREA
We paid ₱40.00 for the parking fee.
WELCOME TO MANTAYUPAN FALLS
Of course we did not missed the chance to take a photo in front of the signage since the parking boy offered to take a photo of us. We then went in.

We paid ₱400.00 in total which included table with umbrella and 4 chairs for ₱250.00, corkage fee for ₱50.00 and entrance fee and life jacket for ₱100.00. My initial plan was really to go for a swim.
For you to arrive at the bigger waterfalls, you have to pass though this hanging bridge which I was not that prepared, my toes were shaking and I felt sweaty. I got nervous.
I felt a sense of relief when I saw the beautiful Mantayupan Falls.
This is one of Cebu Province’s most famous waterfalls and I can’t wait to visit the other ones.
Nothing is more relaxing than hearing the waterfalls since we are seated just nearest to it. I love hearing the waterfalls and hearing the sound of the chirping birds.
I changed my mind and did not swim since I felt sleepy and the water looked so cold. So we just ate our lunch, the roasted chicken we bought in Barili Public Market and paired it with some hanging rice and soda.
This is by far the best lunch I ever had, nothing fancy, just nature which makes it priceless.
After a couple of hours of hanging around, we then decided to continue on our trip going to Moalboal.
To more nature trips! Ciao!♡
Puso + lechon manok soda + and the stunning view of the falls... it's the perfect combination.
