I was filled with so much excitement when I learned that we are honored to be a part of the Rover Scouts as advisors.
The Rover Vigil and Investiture Ceremony happened at Tuburan Municipal Hall attended by boy scouts and the teachers, us who serve as advisors.
We arrived thirty minutes before the call time so there were a lot of plenty seats for everyone. We chitchatted while waiting for everyone.
When everyone was settled in, we sang the ROVER SCOUT SONG. It was so much fun singing it with everyone else in the room.
We have a lot of guests from the Boy Scout Cebu City Council. They were the ones that facilitated the Rover Scout Vigil and Investiture Ceremony.
We then headed to the lesson proper. We learned a lot about what Rover Scouting is all about.
WHAT IS ROVER SCOUTING?
- It is a service division of Scouting for young men.
- The section was started in 1918,following the growth of the Scout Movement
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF ROVER SCOUTING?
The purpose of Rover Scouting is to provide a Scouting Program for young men who had grown up beyond the age range of the core Scout Section. It provides enjoyable activities that combine personal development with meaningful service, reiterated in the motto : "Brotherhood of Open Air and Service".
THE INVESTITURE CEREMONY
We are officially a part of the Rover Scouts family and we could not wait to spread goodness towards fellow Rover scouts and other citizens. It is a beginning of something new and exciting.
