I think the instant rewards or the 7 day payout time has conditioned people to think that growth is expected to be like that here. We started with less than 2k HP back in 2020 and the HP just snowballed from then on.
At the time of this writing, the community account earned around 1058.587 HP staked since December 31, 2023 (9,225.05 HP) to present (10,283.637 HP).
The amount of delegations to @hiveph and @hivephilippines grew more than 50% than the previous year (we just stopped tracking that). If anyone's been looking at the monthly reports, you'll know that some of the earned Hive/HP by this account gets redistributed to different areas Community Coffers, Staff Incentives, Hive Engine Tokens, Donations and Bonus Delegation Rewards to delegators.
We want to focus on growth on multiple areas while being sustainable. I want to focus on a direction where we put more resources into different projects on Hive and also support our own human resources. If you support the members, they grow their own accounts and maybe, they'll pass the favor forward. There's a strong emphasis on Bayanihan and how it's not even mandatory to give any support like delegations to the community but we try to increase the value of incentives for those that do.
If anyone wants to check the #voteme usage to see how our stake is being used for everyone, just use /votemestats command or /profile hivephilippines or hiveph. Even the most avid users of the functions don't even have a high self vote to others ratio which shows that those that actually use it, trigger the function for other accounts than themselves.
The 2024 goal was making the account reach 10k HP and we achieved that ahead of schedule sometime last November. 2025 goal is reaching 11k HP for the community account and having more funds invested on HE tokens for sustainable growth. I know the prolonged bear market did it's thing and dampened community morale to be active but for those that see these times as an opportunity to accumulate, you may get rewarded from those occasional pumps in the market.
Who knows when Hive's price will reach next year but even with this uncertainty, we are going to keep growing as a community. We're doing this for the people that remain.
