Community Calendar Activities for 2024:
- March 26, 2024 - HivePH Anniversary
- Last Week of April 2024 (Tentative) - HivePH Manila Meetup / Cebu Meetup
- December 2024 - Christmas Party 2024.
There's not a lot activities lined up here because monthly blogging contests, onboarding webinars, and weekly activities are considered regular activities that need no highlights. We're still open to add more activities throughout the year so the list can still change.
Hive PH Meetup Plans
Regarding the HivePH Meetup which will held at Manila, there's no specific place and date yet but we're aiming to have it done on the month of April (mark your calendars). The Cebu Meetup will be to follow. We can't really release specific details because preparing for these events is pure volunteer work.
We are not soliciting for sponsors or have something as grand as an organized Hive Event. We're just a small community that just wants to casually do meet and greet with fellow members of the community.
HSBI As Community Rewards
We're adding HBSI to the list of community rewards given out from our contests.

Hive Stake Based Income (Hive SBI) is a social experiment to bring a voluntary crowdfunded basic income to as many Hivers as possible. Members join by sponsoring others into the program. Hive SBI is delivered through providing regular upvotes to member content.
Explaining the program fully will be a lengthy read but here are links to the FAQ and Documentation.
The short version is HSBI units gives you regular upvotes for your posts in proportion to how many units you have. It takes 1 Hive to create two units and this is split between the sponsor and sponsee. Whenever you buy 1 unit for someone else, you also get a bonus unit for yourself.
This program is beneficial for those that are thinking long term when it comes to growing their account. 1 unit does not offer a lot of vote value and votes are still subjected to market conditions but once enrolled, your subscription lasts indefinitely unless your account was blacklisted by Hivewatchers or other stated grounds for termination (see it's policies for termination of subscription and refund program).
This doesn't mean HSBI will totally replace the liquid Hive rewards in our future contests but the benefits of the program align with our objective to have members thinking about the long term consequences of growing your accounts in the ecosystem. While the means to deliver value is in the form of upvotes, it does not mean you shouldn't do shady things with the service like posting spam, plagiarized content, or things that offer no value in the ecosystem.
HivePH does not have the ability to give large upvotes. But what it does has always been using whatever resources it accumulated to give back to the community. We encourage members who want to support fellow members to use the service.
If you want to sponsor 1 unit to another member, you can send 0.5 Hive to this community account and @hiveph will cover the other half of the amount (as a sponsor) to reduce half the cost.
