What’s up my dear Hiver’s! I hope everything goes well with you’ll. May we all have a wonderful day ahead as we manifest all the good and best things in life.

Christmas season officially started in my hometown City of Naga, Cebu. Even at the start of September Filipinos are starting to decorate their roads, houses, public and private establishments with Christmas decorations, Christmas music are starting to be heard, which marks the beginning of few months long Christmas season.

I'll now talk about a wonderful day I had with my family. Every year it is already a tradition that our hometown is celebrating a program that will welcome the Christmas season so, every 8th of December is the day they will officially open the Christmas lights.

This year’s theme is all about a Fairyland: an enchanting and magical Christmas. The event featured dazzling lights and festive performances. This is a perfect day to spend with your family, especially with those with kids, because surely the kids will enjoy seeing different characters. You will be delighted while taking a walk around because it feels magical seeing a lot of lights, flowers, and butterflies.

I even felt like a child myself because by just gazing around, it feels like you are in a different world. Even this tiny castle encircled by vibrant flowers is something I adore. There is so much to see, yet the crowd made it impossible for us to see it all. The place is packed with people, so I couldn't even imagine to guess how many people visited.

Another thing that makes it more festive is because there are groups of drum and lyre bands around doing competition. It is really heartwarming to celebrate such an event that many people are happy with. The noise, the lights, the decorations, and the people make the evening more magical.

I think this year wasn’t bad at all. After all the tears shed, challenges, and frustrations, it wasn’t bad at all. I even spent this night with my loved ones, so it wasn’t bad at all because it came to my realization that I still have plenty of reasons to smile and to smile more.

Life is inevitable, and that is the sole thing that I learned this year. I don’t have any control over the things that’s going to happen, even death. All I know right now is that I no longer worry about what’s bound to happen. Remember, if things don’t work out the way you wanted, well, try it more or make the change happen.

This is a lovely year for me, and there is so much to be grateful about. Even a single night to spend with family is a treasure to be kept. It is indeed a season to be jolly and a season to be grateful for the gift of life. May all of us achieve what our hearts desire, and may happiness spread like the wind blows.
