I haven't posted here for nine days now. I'm wishing everyone in good health and peace of mind.
Let me share to you how my week went through...
On January 8, I had a scheduled Zoom interview, which consisted of three parts: pronunciation, grammar, and a mock call. The interview lasted for an hour, and fortunately, I passed. I was advised to keep my lines open and wait for further instructions.
Received a message from one of the recruitment team for the Zoom interview at 9:00 pm sharp.
Last January 13, after passing my operations validation interview (OVI), I was invited to finish the necessary screenings in order to open an account with Retail Bank. The appointment was set on January 13, 2025, at the IT Park Recruitment Office, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM. I was told to bring a legitimate ID and let the reception know that I was there for the process. I was to look for either Roger or June.
A busy and successful week full of significant responsibilities began with this.
This was the email i I received the day after I passed my final interview via zoom.❤️
On January 13, my boat journey was originally scheduled for 9:20 AM. However, the voyage was postponed until 10:40 AM due to the Sinulog Festival in Cebu, which caused a spike in travelers.
The atmosphere of the port and the excitement of getting to my destination kept me focused and motivated, even though the delay added some stress to my already hectic itinerary.
As I waited at the port, I had time to see the ferries coming and going, the people moving around, and the employees urgently trying to control the crowd.
Finally, we are ready to depart. I took oceanjet which will take 2 hours.
I was planning to take Liteshipping but it will took 4 hours of travel and travel time is 11:59pm.
The port's waters were calm, and the ships' reflections in the surrounding landscape enhanced the gorgeous view.
The trip served as a reminder of the difficulties and little things that come with putting in a lot of effort to achieve our goal.

While on the boat, I unexpectedly fell asleep and missed capturing the scenery during the trip. I was so exhausted, having to wake up early at 5 AM and travel from Balilihan, Bohol, to Tagbilaran Port, which took about an hour and a half. I arrived at the pier around 8 AM, waited two hours to board, and spent another two hours traveling before reaching Cebu. I only woke up when we arrived at Cebu Port around 1 PM. That was fast!😅

I arrived at 1:30 PM, which was still fine as there were many applicants. I went through five assessment rounds and one typing test. I completed everything by 7 PM and was glad to have passed. They congratulated me for doing great.
I left in a hurry as I needed to travel back to Bohol and catch the last trip at 10 PM via Lite Shipping. Thankfully, I was able to purchase a ticket at 8:30 PM and waited for the 10 PM departure.

And just like that, I’m back in Bohol.
The boat actually arrived at the port on January 14 at 2 AM, but I didn’t get off until 6 AM because I had fallen asleep and was just too tired.
I haven't yet returned to Balilihan. Instead, I prepared a few things I would need for Cebu by returning home to Bingag. By the way, on January 23 I will begin my training. My mother was overjoyed. I lost my last work two months ago, and it was difficult to locate a new one. Fortunately, God has helped me by His grace. And hoping that I can submit all the needed requirements and pass the training.
Senior Santo Niño Fiesta Preparations
Our simple preparation yet many were full.
I was too preoccupied with cleaning, preparations, and even cooking that I even forgot to take pictures during the January 14, 15, and 16 fiesta at Balilihan for Senior Santo Niño. The fiesta was successful and on January 17 we need to clean everything and put things to it's normal place.
That's how fiestas work in the Philippines. A lot of people come, so we need to prepare plenty of food and drinks. We also gave them food to take home, whether it's cooked or raw meat.

To summarize, this week has been full with obstacles, blessings, and times of reflection. The experience of showcasing my skills during interviews and preparing for the fiesta in honor of Senior Santo Niño has reinforced the importance of endurance and faith. Despite being jobless, I am grateful for the blessings and strength that Senior Santo Niño has given me. His grace has carried me through terrible times, and now that a new chance awaits, I am filled with thankfulness and hope for the future. It has certainly been a voyage of faith, perseverance, and divine favor.
