Damn! It's already half of 2022. How time flies so fast and it has been a pretty tough journey since the start of this year! Care to agree with me? Any plans I've made in the past months never seemed to play out as I wanted them to and so I have stopped making any concrete plans for the next 6 months since energies have been fluctuating. The half of the year will just be riding out whatever presents itself. But despite this, I don't plan and won't stop sharing Hive to people.
In line with our community Hive PH goals and plans, we have established (since last year) to hold a Hive orientation every month. Although there were times, we weren't able to commit to this, I can still say we were able to hold small ones despite the few attendees. I used to think that there was no point in continuing such webinars if there were only a few interested but somehow @adamada helped changed my mindset when he emphasize that even with just 1 person attending, we might help change that person's life through Hive. And so here we are...
This coming July 09, 2022, we are holding a formal Hive orientation and this will be divided into 2 sessions.
📢PART 1 - BASICS OF HIVE - 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
will be dedicated to those (A) who already have an account but have no clue where to start and (B) for those of our non-Hive Friends who are interested in joining Hive. The 1st hour will be allotted to discussing the basics of the Hive ecosystem, how to start blogging, and @OCD onboarding program. The next 30 minutes will be for the Q&A portion. This will be an exclusive webinar as what we have been doing in the past because we already have prior experience of others joining with no "good" intentions. In this way, we can have an intimate discussion with a smaller group.
We will be doing this in google meet. We request our fellow Filipino Hivers who like to invite their friends to this webinar to direct message me @indayclara, @chillwithshanna, or @intoy.bugoy their email addresses on discord.
📢PART 2 - DEEPER INTO HIVE - 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
With my newly onboarded Hiver @callmesmile having several technical questions for me that most of the time I can't seem to completely answer just through "chat", and for sure other newbies also have the same dilemma or inquiries, I decided to have this session to cater the harder topics a newbie encounters after starting their few weeks or months in Hive.
Topics will include curation, delegations, resource credits, voting mana, voting on witnesses, do's and donts, and much more! The first hour will be dedicated to a discussion then the next 30 minutes will be for the Q&A portion. The rest of the Hive PH staff will be joining us to cater to your questions and inquiries!
This event will be exclusive to our fellow Filipino Hivers so we can also freely speak in our language. This session will be done in our Hive PH Discord Channel and so if you haven't hopped into our server, might as well do it now! The event is already scheduled on our discord channel ( Thanks to @wittyzell! ) so it will be hard for you to miss this one!

Holding smaller groups are more productive! You can tend to the new ones more often and they will be guided accordingly. You have been amazing in sharing Hive to your people so kudos on that! Are you doing your orientations in person or just virtual?
I used to do it in person but since the people around me are inviting friends, I hold virtual meetings on google meet as well.
Presently I am planning a meetup to do a small tutorial on the use of canva app. So they can make attractive header photos.
Oh! That's great! Canva is something they can use to improve their creativity and blogs!
I remember the first time I have attended the webinar with @christianyocte 's invitation. Honestly, I didn't have any prior knowledge as to how Hive should be done. I was a newbie and did have an account yet.
With the help of the various webinars conducted by the admins (including @indayclara and my friends' guidance), I was able to understand how it works.
I'm always looking forward to attend more webinars like this to learn further about Hive and meet new hivers.

It is true, that I have plenty of questions to @indayclara regarding this and that. I have inquiries almost every week!😁 But even though I didn't have the full grasp yet on how Hive really works, I could always feel the support and the encouragement the @OCD onboarding program has given me starting from my 1st day here on Hive. With the @OCDs Onboarding program, I have noticed the growth of my upvotes and the engagement I got here on Hive.- A Help that a newbie Hivers will really need.
