Hi, everyone! I just want to share about our trip to the well-known Simala Shrine church in Cebu Philippines. I was with my parents and two siblings. It was their first time visiting, and they were very excited. This was last July 2024. I am also excited to share this to you Hivers! 😍

HOW TO GO TO SIMALA SHRINE from the City?

First, you need to go to the South Bus Terminal and buy a ticket. The fare ranges from PHP 130 to PHP 150. It is about 3 hours away from the city if you take a bus.

HISTORY

It was built in 1998 by the Marian Monks from Pampanga. It used to be just an ordinary church until after the incidents of miraculous events. One of which is the shedding of tears of the Mother Mary's image. It paved the way for the shrine's popularity with devotees constantly flocking the area.

WHO OWNS THE SIMALA SHRINE?
The monastery is built and owned by the Marian Monks of Eucharistic Adoration (MMEA) who serve as the guardians of the place.

As you can see, guys, it’s a very huge church. It is one of the tourist spots here in Cebu, and many foreigners want to visit it. A lot of people believe that this church can grant miracles, and I am one of them. I truly experienced it when I was about to take the board exam. I intentionally visited this church beforehand to ask for help from Mama Mary, and she granted my wish to pass the exam. And I am now a Licensed Professional Teacher. 🤗

This was my third time visiting Simala. During this trip with my family, it was the time when my brother was preparing for his exam. So, I decided to bring him along to ask Mama Mary for help to pass the exam. AND IT WAS GRANTED AGAIN! My brother is now a Licensed Engineer. 🤗

I'm grateful because I found this, this is also my comfort place.

When you go inside the church, there are many paintings. Making noise is prohibited inside because many people are praying.

They are my parents; they are happy that they were able to visit here.

This is us, I'm happy because I am now able to take them to other places.

After we prayed inside, we had a chance to take some pictures outside. I made a collage because I had a lot of pictures. 😅

Our last stop was at the mall, where we had our lunch. During lunchtime in Simala, it gets very crowded, so I decided to go to the mall instead.

That's all for now, Hivers! Thank you for taking the time to read this blog! 😍

Whoa, the inside of the church is really beautiful. So lucky of you to be able to visit and even pray inside. And what a lovely way to end the day, a date in the mall and over some yummy meals.

Yeah. We had so much fun and are very thankful that we were able to visit this place.😇
