Happy Thursday, dear Hivers! If your a follow of my daily blogs, you'd know that for the longest time, I've been trying to stay active, physically. However, for some reasons, I always stop getting active and once again become a couch potato. So I stop forcing myself, All together.

Our company alloted a budget for employee's special interest club which would allow us to create group activities and mingle with other officemates of different departments. This quarter, I joined the runner's club. The goal of this club is to get every moving, whether you're a pro or just a beginner, everyone is welcome. We then registered for a fun run this coming March to officiate our club activity. I entered the 12k category and so are most of the members.

As a preparation for the run, we scheduled some trainings every 6pm on Thursdays, Saturdays & Sundays. Today is the first time I attended the training. The theme of today's activity is "slow running", wherein we jog in a slow phase for a long period of time. In our case, it's 7 minutes straight. Then we cool down. One of the members in the group is an active runner, so he shared that there's actually a breathing techniques which can help you lengthen your endurance. He personally practice the 2 second inhale exhale breathing pattern.

When I tried the breathing technique, it really helped with endurance. I used to run and not think about these techniques. Maybe this time, I would really improve my physical fitness.

After the training, we had some banana cue and refreshing calamansi juice as our post workout snack. It was very satisfying, I must say. Although the price of these street foods really doubled since it's located inside a privately owned road.

That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!

Sending some love and light
