Happy weekend, dear Hivers! Most Saturdays, my family and I go for a quick grocery run in our neighborhood and beside the grocery, there's this interesting store that sells surplus items believed to be from America.
The good thing is, all their prices are marked down to 50-70% off from it's original price!
Upon entering the store, a bunch of random items is the first display you can see. From simple kitchen items like portable blender, lunch box, plastic trays, and anything & everything under the sun, you name it, they have it!
My favorite section is usually their apparel collection because they sell branded items at a discounted price. One time, I bought a blouse with a tag from Zara and has now became one of my favorite piece in my closet. But for today's display, I have not found anything that sparks joy in my eyes.
I'm not sure what these dresses are for. Maybe it's a costume? Or maybe it's a surplus from a Halloween party last year.
Most people check out their appliances and furnitures as it's the most worthy items in the store. Another thing I noticed is that their furnitures are one of a kind, or maybe for a pieces since it's from a surplus.
These surfboards are expensive! Price raged from PHP15,000 to PHP30,000 (260 USD-530 USD). I'm not sure if that's a cheap price for a surfboard, but it sure costs a huge sum of money!
For the current batch of items in the surplus store, nothing much caught my attention. I remember they used to have second hand books before, which I truly enjoyed.
I hope for my next visits, they'll have a better selection.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
With love, Jane
