My family and I are usually a couch potato on weekends. We rarely go to malls and eat out together only if theres an occassion. But last weekend, we were out 2 days in a row. Not to mention, to far away places like the beach and mountainous part of our town.
Saturday
Our family reunion was held at Naga beach resort, an hour and a half road trip from the City.
Thankfully the weather cooperated and gave a sunny bright clouds that day since our set up for the reunion is mostly in the outdoor area. If I could go back, I would've brought swimwear so I could dip in the water.
At night was where all the fun began. There were many people at the beach and since each villa has ka karaoke, everyone was singing. We didn't stay for the night though.
Sunday
On the next day, we went on another trip. This time, on the mountainous place of Cebu. My family and I decided to go to Simala Shrine in Sibonga, Cebu. It's 3 hour drive from the City and is in the same direction as the beach. So going to Simala, we passed by the beach resort that we went to the other day. We then talk about our recent beach trip in the car.
Since it's a 3 hour roadtrip going to the Shrine (and another 3 hrs going back), we decided to stop by their famous lechon in Carcar and ordered 2 kilos for lunch. We brought some cooked rice from our house and ate lunch inside our car.
We finally arrived at our destination!
We then wrote our petition, in 3 copies, and prayed inside the church. This place is both a tourist spot and a holy sanctuary.
And that's about my weekend day trips. I hope you enjoyed your weekend too!
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
