Happy weekend, dear Hivers! Last Wednesday, we had a weekly huddle in our department. Since everyone was busy, evident by our audit deadlines, our department head decided that we just eat and chill for our bi-weekly huddle. Coincidentally, it was also her work anniversary so we celebrated over some ice cream, cheese bread, and a platter of palabok.
This week, I can't count the times I've eaten ice cream. It seems like everyday is ice cream day for me! I'm not complaining though, but my blood sugar is. Haha.
I also received my lab test result from our annual physical check up this week. I'm quite shock though because there were unexpected results in my lab test. First is my relatively low hemoglobin, this I'm aware of since two years ago. But I'm happy because it's improving compared to last year. Then there are other components in my lab test, which I believe pertains to my hormones, that has some variances. Thankfully, it's not that serious though. But as someone who has health anxiety, I would prefer to be made aware of these variances so I could improve my life style and eating habits to prevent further damage.
Im planning to take another lab test late this year using my company HMO insurance just to check whether my overall result is improving.
Anyways, I'm just glad that this week, I rendered lesser overtime, intentionally and despite my piled up deadlines, just so I could cater other matters outside work. I went to church, twice this week, after work which I thought was impossible to happen before.
In other perspective, I'm pretty much entertained by the news in social media this week. Viral issues such as the story of the delusional scammer bride, the arrest of our former president, and even the scandal of South Korean actor Kim So Hyun, came about at the same time this week. Now people can have many topics to choose from.
That's it for today's blog. See you in my next one!
Sending some love and light
With love, Jane
