Calmness Before The Landfall.

First of all I wish everyone within the affected areas of the Typhoon Kristine is safe.

Our country Philippines is facing another hit again and it's just sad that some of the areas in northern part of Luzon is still in recovery from the recent typhoon also.
Hoping that they are prepared for this one.

So I woke up late this morning since it's my day off then I hurriedly checked the updates about the typhoon from PAGASA. From their report the whole Luzon and some part of Visayas were in signal number 1 that's why classes were suspended again upto senior highschool level.

Usually we took our day off during the weekend but for this week since there's a typhoon, we expect that there will be less customer so two persons can manage the shop already.

We ran out of firewoods already that's why I decided to buy a new tank of gas. I talked to my father about it and we went to town before lunch.
It's pricey but what can we do, it's better than nothing at all.

While we're traveling to town I just noticed that the surroundings in our area especially here in our province is pretty calm when where in signal number 1. We expect rains and some winds but there's nothing at all. It felt like that there's no threat at all.

Except for the sky where it was all covered with clouds, even the mountains that surrounds our province.
This kind of atmosphere before the typhoon is very concerning to the elderly people here in our place.

They said that it's better to experience a little wind and rain when there's a typhoon than to experience nothing at all, total calmness of the surrounding.

We arrived in town wherein the roads are still busy accommodating all the vehicles traveling to their designated destinations.

Most of the establishments in town were open and still in operation just like these businesses in the middle of our town, along the national highway.

Some of the hotels also like this one that we passed by near our shop and even our shop is in operation.

Small businesses like this one who sells Pandesal were striving also and can't let a single penny go before the typhoon.

The most affordable bread in town way back before and even now but sad to say its price gone up a little plus the size got smaller. Well that's life.

Tricycle drivers like my father were still present in town grabbing the opportunity to earn some for their families. Even at this hour I'm sure that there's still a lot of them in town sailing the dangerous road.

When it comes to preparedness I'm sure that every barangay in our province is in alert even before we're included to the areas that falls to the trajectory of the typhoon. I'm proud to say that the governance here is not like in other areas wherein they lack the spirit of truly serving the public.

All the public servants in our province were task to standby and each of the barangay has a group chat were in they can communicate plus equipped with the walkie talkie radio. I knew it because my father is one of them.

Also in our town and all the barangays here in the province installed permanent signage along the roads to where they should evacuate during this times and I'm sure in other parts of the country also.
This is one of their good projects and as citizens we should follow all these things especially in times like this.

All those photos were taken during our travel and Im glad that it's not blurred.

Update as of writing, still the night is calm even if we're in signal number 3. It's worrisome but I hope it stays this way.

That's all and I hope that everyone is safe. We will get through this once again with the help of our creator, God.

Same here, it was calm at first and after a while heavy rain pours along with strong bustling wind.

Stay safe

Hoping you're safe there ate lhes.

Stay safe there and we were really lucky that our place didn't hit the typhoon.
