Hi everyone, I am John Laurence Bohol. You can call me John for short. Some friends and relatives call me Law or Lao, which are short for Laurence, but I prefer when they call me John because it feels more positive. I am 21 years old and currently studying to become an educator someday. I am from the Queen City of the South, Cebu City, Philippines, specifically from the Municipality of Pinamungajan, which is known for its abundant harvests from both land and sea. Growing up in such a beautiful place has given me a deep appreciation for nature and community. I’ve always been inspired by the hardworking people around me, which motivates me to pursue my dreams. In this blog, I will share some things about life—my experiences, lessons learned, and reflections. Life is full of ups and downs, but I believe that every challenge offers an opportunity for growth. I hope my thoughts and insights can inspire and motivate others to appreciate their own journey and find happiness in every step they take.

My Passion

I am passionate about dancing. Since I was a child, I’ve always been amazed when I saw someone who was good at dancing. I loved watching them dance, and I promised myself that when I grew up, I would be a good dancer. I’ve been competing in dance competitions since elementary school, and we always won. Even in my secondary school years and now in college, I continue to participate in dance competitions. I also share my dancing skills with others who want to learn and inspire people to love dancing. When I dance, I feel like I forget my problems. It gives me peace and relief, and I find freedom in moving my body. I also compete in events like PASIGARBO SA SUGBO and other school-related dance competitions. I always remind myself, “Just Dance with Music.” Life can be difficult, but we should go with the flow, do what we love, and pursue what makes us happy.

My Travels and Adventures

Aside from dancing, I also love traveling and adventure. I’m a curious person who enjoys visiting new places—not just for their beauty, but to connect with the environment and nature. As Lovelle Drachman said, “Blessed are the curious, for they will have adventures.” I enjoy exploring places I’ve never been before. Traveling helps me find peace and relief, and I always tell myself that as long as I can visit new places, I will do so. Happiness is my priority because it’s hard to be happy if you don’t learn to love and spoil yourself.

Amazing Hive

Currently, I want to explore new social media platforms for blogging, and my friends recommended Hive. Due to my curiosity and eagerness to explore, I asked them to invite me, and now I’ve joined to discover new things. Aside from vlogging, I’m excited to try blogging. In blogging, I know I can inspire others to visit places here in Cebu City. Since I love traveling and adventure, I can encourage people to experience the beauty of our places with the help of Hive. My journey as a traveler and adventurer can be recognized, and I hope to encourage others to join Hive as well.

Hive is quite interesting. I had never heard of it before, but when I joined, I thought to myself, “This is nice!” In Hive, you can post about anything as long as it doesn’t violate the rules. I can post about anything I love—from adventures and travels to lifestyle, technology, fashion, and more. Hive also provides an orientation for newbies like me, which makes it feel safe and welcoming. What I love most about Hive is the sense of community. Everyone is so supportive, and it’s a great place to connect with like-minded individuals. The platform encourages creativity and the sharing of diverse ideas, and it allows users to express themselves freely while respecting others. Being part of such a positive space is motivating, and it makes me excited to contribute more. Whether it’s sharing my dance videos or travel experiences, Hive feels like the perfect platform to grow, learn, and inspire others. I look forward to exploring all the opportunities it has to offer!

It’s reassuring to know that there’s a community here that’s ready to help newcomers. I’m excited to explore more, share my experiences, and learn from others.
