I planted this cherry tomatoes at the wrong time. It was mid March when I found one of the last fruits of the cherry tomatoes my mum planted on a pot and it had been little to no rain at that time and the heat was scorching.
As I saw the last cherry tomato fruit that is ripe, I took it and thought of planting them on a pot and put them under a shaded area so the sun won't affect its growth. Just in time, my mum's ducks hatched and they need to be fenced and the areas where I located my pot was included so I moved them to the roofed area on my house where water access is easy yet despite being watered every morning, most of the plants withered due to the temperature.
Now this little plant is th o ly one to survive and boy I took care of it and was happy to see it grow until the rain came. Two weeks ago, I noticed it bearing flowers and I thought not to come near so it won't get stressed. Now time. Has passed and the flowers tuned to. Fruits and I'm very excited to see them ripe on the plant itself.
I planned on planting the seeds of the first fruit then enjoy the rest of maybe keep some of the seeds so I won't run out of them. And oh, I forgot to share that my mum acquired the seeds when she went to a relative's house when her father died sometime last year.
When I was younger I used to have thsi plant. It suddenly grew on our backyard and I enjoyed munching the tiny fruits raw and cooked. I used to have a plant that had bear so much fruit and I could not possibly consume them all. Sadly they rot to the ground since we don't have a refrigerator to keep them longer nor I knew how to can them. Also, I had no record of them. Since I o my ahd my first phone with camera 8 years ago. I'm so glad the plant brought nostalgia to me and made me remember bits and pieces on my childhood; memories that were burried with lots of stress and rush in adulthood.
Soon, if the stars will align, I'd have my garden full of these pretty cherry tomatoes.
