"3 for 100 nalang mga madam" I can hear those phrases mostly on buses before, from vendors who hop on the bus and sell banana chips, kamote chips and many more snacks or 'pasalubong' as they call. I always want to buy some but I don't have that much money, because you know 100 pesos is already a lot! The main reason why I want to buy is I love it, especially the banana chips. Its crunchiness and sweetness it's so addicting! Talagang hindi ka magsasawa. But I got curious about how they make it so I decided to go to Mr Youtube and searched for it. Kaya naman for today let's make banana chips!
To be honest I have been dreaming of making this for many years now 😂. And finally, dream come true yarn? Lol
So the first thing you will do is get an unripped banana on your neighbour's banana tree. I used a banana called 'saba' yung ginagamit sa banana cue. So peel it off like he peeled your heart, just kidding. It's a little bit hard to peel so I can say is Goodluck! Don't hurt your fingers okay? And just some reminder it is a little bit sticky so good luck ulit!
After peeling it like he peeled your heart next thing to do is sliced it like he sliced your body and soul 🤣. Slice it thinly, so you need a few knife skills on this part because if you slice it thickly it will take more time to cook and it will not be crispy I think. Mga ganto kakapal
Then there is the fun part! It's frying time. Don't worry the oil will never splash so don't think about it. So heat your pan first then put some oil and wait until it becomes hot like how hot my body is, just kidding. Once the oil is already hot put the sliced banana then wait for it until its texture becomes crispy, yes ganun lang Siya kadali, mas madali pa iyan kesa mahalin siya, char.
But there's more! Akala mo tapus na? No way! After frying it the chips has no taste at all, siguro meron naman pero hindi masyado. So to make it sweet caramelized some sugar. Bring out your pan put some sugar and a little water then turn on the stove and wait for it to melt. Once it's caramelized put the banana chips and mix them until the chips are coated with sugar. Before serving it cool down first huwag excited!
So here is the finished product!
Ikaw mahilig ka rin ba sa banana chips or chips?

Magiging crispy ba sya kahit Hindi mo binilad sa araw?
Based on my experience okay naman siya 🤣
Lagi kong naalala ang officemate ko na taga-Bukidnon, kapag sya ay nagbabakasyon pagdating nya meron sya lagi pasalubong na banana chips.
Maganda rin talaga siya pangpasalubong 😁
Tama kabayan, sarap nyang papakin.
Yay! 🤗
