Been wanting to change my profile pic for a while, but I haven't had the opportunity nor the motivation to push through with this plan of mine - until now.
So, I did not have a solid concept for the profile pic that I wanted to do. And, just as any other project inception that I embark upon, I start by exploring. In this case, I just did a couple of selfies with my mobile and picked the best one among the lot.
This was the one that I chose, which I named Before.

I was satisfied with the photo concept but it was too dry, too static. Opposite of what I wanted, which was for it to be dynamic, to have personality. So I did my thing, still on mobile, and this was what I got after a couple of tries. What do you think of the result below? Does it evoke character? Who do you think of when you see this photo? Me, personally, I really like it.

Technology has advanced so much so that the skill needed to do this today is the equivalent of a professional photographer a couple of years ago. It still amazes me that this can be easily done on a mobile device using a free app that I just downloaded from the Play Store.
In today's digital world, being able to work on images is a skill that can be quite handy. Social media profiles can help an influencer easily define what he or she is trying to tell the world. "This is who I am." While ordinary folks like us want to have a nice profile to welcome visitors when somebody visits your social media.
And how many social media accounts do we have? Does it all need a proper profile pic or image? What then do you want your audience to discover about you?
I have not really done a deep dive into this part of being a blogger. My bad. I hope that by beginning to take some time to ponder upon these things, that it helps get me back to writing and creating content because I genuinely love the creative process. Be it words, or music, or images. It can ignite the reader's imagination and, hopefully, inspire others.
