Hello Hiveans! I hope that you are all doing well. Today's blog is a collection of random themes; a knee-jerk reaction to the news and social media feeds I've been getting these days. It's a really nice Saturday morning so I was able to finish this from my many drafts. No rain violently tapping on the roof and heavy downpour, just a light breeze gently brushing on the leaves. I'm feeling good, relaxed with a lovely and quiet day outside as opposed to the recent typhoons.
Goals
Although I've achieved my HP Goal for the year after the latest HPUD, I forgot to mention it in my post. I'm really glad that I have reached 3,062.162 HP. Hooray! It's not that much in the grand scheme of things in my life right now, but it is something. I've been on social media for a long time and having an income stream coming in from my posts and uploads is a bonus. So, for next year, I will probably want to get to 4K or 5K HP levels and maybe have something to aim for in staked HBD savings. And since crypto is still a "side-gig", these are not hard goals for me. They are flexible and the specifics can be decided later.
Politics and the US Presidential election
The conclusion of the US elections have been all over social media. With the former president emerging victorious. I don't really follow US politics that much but the feeds really had so much content on the topic that made it hard not to notice. Also, I learned about how different the elections in the US is compared to ours. For starters, the candidate who may have gotten the biggest number of votes can still end up the loser, it's mind blowing for me. The electoral college system is unique and interesting that I've watched a few videos explaining what it is and how it works.
BTC
So, in the last four days, Bitcoin price went up 15% and the social media gurus were all FOMOing. I understand that President-elect Trump has a pro-crypto stance and this is a big boost to everyone in the space but we (newbies) still have to be careful about investing our hard-earned moolah into something that we don't really understand. That said, I'm very bullish on crypto and might buy some more soon. I hope that Hive will go with the flow and follow the trend, which all the other top cryptocurrencies are experiencing. And in case you haven't checked, 19 out of the top 20 cryptocurrencies are in the green. The only exception is Tron (TRX). 😏
Earworm
The Rosé and Bruno Mars song APT is stuck in my head! LOL. To think that I don't really know who Rosé is two weeks ago is amazing. I do know that I've seen her before as a part of Blackpink but I've never really listened to the group nor watched their MVs so that really shows my age and the generation gap I have with the kiddos. One niece of mine really loves K-Pop artist and goes out of her way to watch their concerts especially if they are going to be held in the country because watching it in Singapore or Malaysia adds another layer of "expensive" to the already expensive concert tickets. I am a music guy so discovering something new that I like is a welcome addition to the playlist.
Conclusion
And that's it for today's blog. It was supposed to be published yesterday, but I had a really bad headache. I'm fine now and I do hope that you all enjoy your weekend. Have fun, relax and refresh the mind and spirit. Maybe read a book, do something unexpected or play games; whatever it is that makes you happy.
Love and peace,

Eyyy, happy for you po for reaching your goal for HP. Good luck sa next goal. And nakakatuwang makita na tumataas na ulit si BTC, even ETH reached $3K na. Sana mahatak yong iba pa. Ehe
Thanks, I appreciate it. New goals naman for next year so hoping that BTC, etc will go really high up this year or 1st Q next year. Sana maki-ride ang Hive sa pagtaas. 😁😁😁 !PIZZA 🍕🍕🍕
Ayy, that would be awesome po. Lucky those those who we're able to buy during it's low. Sana nga po talaga 🤘
Yes. Goodluck sa atin. Kasama ka doon since you have been accumulating Hive from rewards. 😁😁😁
Grind malala nga po eh, grab chance na talaga while mababa pa. Hehe
Yes, I agree 💯%. Mababa pa talaga ang price sa ngayon.
What's your process of accumulating HP? Do you cost-average (i.e. buy fixed amount monthly) or just direct conversion from extra funds whatever the amount?
That's a tricky question for me to answer because I do both; not an either/or but a this and that. I do find that the author / curation rewards strategy is the best as you can get it for almost zero cash out. Well, you still have to pay for internet, electricity and your precious time in creating content and engaging, but that's about it. 😀 I don't really cost-average as a matter of strategy. I'm more of a buy and hold to HP vs buy and sell, depending on the market situation. There are other factors to consider too, such as availability of funds, better investing opportunities, etc. so to say that I'm going to put in say 1k pesos into Hive every payday as the only strategy I use in accumulating Hive is a no for me. Then there is delegating HP, getting into liquidity pools on Hive Engine, buying into Hive Engine tokens with Hive dividends, and the like. Whatever gets me Hive, HP, or Swap.Hive is the strategy. !PIZZA 🍕
