Howdy ~
I took some time to rest and recover, which led me to watch Culinary Wars. This show became popular last year, but I managed to avoid any spoilers that appeared on my fyp and fb newsfeed. I've added it to my lists of shows to watch during my free time. I usually find moments to watch movies or series when I'm sick because I end up in bed and can't do any work. So, what better way to recover than by enjoying a good series, right?
I love cooking shows! The first one I watched was Master Chef. I want to see if Culinary Wars is similar, with its challenging tasks and tough judges like Chef Ramsay. And yes, the show was very strict, minus the cussing, of course, hahaha!
I’ve heard that everyone loves the triple star chef because he’s very handsome. I can see why they admire him, he really is good-looking and also an incredibly talented chef. In the first episode, I remember thinking, “Wow, that guy is handsome!”. you know, I tend to be drawn to guys who wear nerdy glasses and can cook. If any of you know the vlogger Bite King, he has a similar look, and I thought, “Yep, I have a type!” 🤣
But aside from that, I also have a preference for older guys, HAHA! Someone like Edward Lee really catches my eye, he has such a warm character to him. Throughout the show, I kept thinking, “This guy looks like a samurai, wielding cooking tools as his weapon!” During the intense cooking challenge in the semifinals, there was a moment when Edward was running out of time, and I got so into it that I found myself chanting, “RING THE BELL, MY DEAR!” I really didn’t want him to lose and I was rooting for him all the way to the last episode. All I could think about was how much I admire this guy he’s just amazing! I want a husband as warm as him and to name our kid after his Korean name "kyun". Hahaha, just kidding! 😆 I wish I could be rich enough to dine at one of his restaurants. I would love to experience it at least once in my life, but I know it's impossible, so it will remain a wishful thinking.
I can't get enough of Chef Edward Lee! I've heard that he is the top chef on the American show Iron Chef season 8, which is the next show I'll watch, if I can find a source for it,that is. In the meantime, I'm planning to binge-watch all the videos I can find of him on YouTube, starting with this video above that tells his life story.
I have diarrhea, which has reduced my appetite, so watching food shows might help me regain it. Thus, the choice of culinary war. Hahaha!
