Hivehoomans, hello! I'm back! Since I nearly forgot to post here, I have a lot of stories to share. Let me begin by telling you about my sister's stand to overcome one of her "what if" lists.
It is truly heartwarming to witness someone close to you stepping out of their comfort zone and taking on a new challenge. My sister's decision to participate in the Sinalampok Queen pageant at the Fiesta Helf in Brgy Cabatangan, Talisay City is a significant moment for her personal growth and courage. Being her older sister, I am both incredibly happy for her and extremely terrified at the same time. It was somewhat surprising considering that we had only discussed that she is too shy and afraid to compete in pageants. But when she told me she was going to compete in the Sinalampok Queen pageant, I was shocked because it wasn’t only showcasing individual talent and beauty but also symbolizes pride and unity among residents.
I saw her willingness in overcoming her feelings and she embraced the opportunity to join where it really speaks volume about her determination and inner strength.Her participation not only brings honor to our family but also serves seeing someone you care about go step out of their comfort zone and to accept a new challenge is incredibly inspiring. She said, joining that pageant is a new great experience and that it will help a lot to her wellbeing as a student taking up the BSED major in english.
Even though she didn't win the crown, what really counts to us is the bravery with which she faced the stage and gave it her best. She has already succeeded, regardless of the result, by having the courage to make the initial move toward her own development and strength. A great transformation from fear to courage, from hesitation to confidence. Though, Fear can often hold us back from exploring new opportunities and realizing our full potential. She taught me how to control and hold the power of self- belief to go past by challenges. I have no doubt that the knowledge she has gained from her experience will influence how she views chances and difficulties in the future, enabling her to have a better and more powerful future.
