Today, we joyfully concluded our Nutrition Month celebration with a series of exciting activities and contests that showcased the talents and creativity of our students from Grade 7 to Grade 12. The event was a fantastic display of cooking skills, artistic expression, and teamwork.
The following are the highlights of the event:
Cooking Contest
This is a collage showing some of the participants of the cooking contest.
The cooking contest was one of the highlights of the day, with students from different grade levels competing to create the most delicious and nutritious dishes. This year is unique since the mechanics state that the students should only use vegetables in their recipe and salt and sugar to taste. Each team put in a tremendous amount of effort, and the results were nothing short of spectacular. The judges had a tough time deciding the winners, but in the end, the best vegetable dish stood out for their taste, presentation, and nutritional value.
To show my utmost support to my contestants, I am at the venue to cheer for them.
Contest for Posters and Slogans:
Along with participating in poster and slogan contests, our students showcased their artistic abilities and inventiveness in each section from Grade 7 to Grade 12. The colorful and educational posters highlighted the significance of nutrition in day-to-day living which also reflected the theme for this year's nutrition month celebration. The phrases and posters which emphasized healthy food and lifestyle choices, were memorable and thought-provoking.
Proud Accomplishments of my Section
I am really delighted to present my advisory section's accomplishments. Their diligence and commitment paid off, as they won in the numerous competitions mentioned above.
First Place in the Slogan Contest: Among all the contestants, Geliad Agosto's slogan was chosen for its outstanding originality and powerful message.
First Place in Cooking Contest: Rica Andrea Lepon, Mitch Olan-Olan, Janine Boc, and Louie Jay Pepito's Kalabasa soup and Crisp delighted the taste buds of the judges.
Second place in the poster-making competition: Larry Remulta's collaborative and artistic abilities bagged the second place.
The competition was only one aspect of the culminating event; education and celebration of the value of nutrition were also present. Students learned important lessons about eating well, working in teams, and enjoying the process of creating something new. For all of us, it was a day full of enjoyment, excitement, and pride.
Following the awarding ceremony, both teachers and students attended the Holy Mass which was also held in our school. We held this somber gathering as a means of expressing our gratitude for the joyous celebration and the blessings we have received. Our school community came together in prayer and thanksgiving throughout the Mass, which served as a time for introspection and appreciation.
It was a very productive day for all of us: from the culminating activity to the holy mass real quick. Thank you for reaching this far. Until my next content....
