Today I want to share again about the Sinulog Festival at Municipality of Carmen,Cebu,City.The Sinulog Festival was happened on January 26, 2025.
The Sinulog Festival was amazingly and successful because of fulfilling feelings that we're celebrate the Senior Santo Niño.
Before that lets know first what is Sinulog Festival.
What is Sinulog Festival?
Sinulog Festival is huge Festival here in Cebu, It's celebration of Senior Santo Niño with dancing,music and colorful costumes.People dance to honor the Senior Santo Niño.This celebration is joyful and happy time for everyone.
First,when we arrive at Carmen we're early because we want to set in the grand There are few people there.While we're sitting on the grandstand we take some picture with my cousin.There's one contingent that practicing before the Street dancing will start.We enjoy watching them while practicing.
A few minutes later my sister came then she said that we will buy a food for our lunch and dinner later.So me ang my cousin buy the food and the food that we buy is chiken.This chicky oink is so delicious.
After we buy,while we're walking we see the 7/11 then my cutie cousin said that we will buy a corneto so I agree her.We buy corneto and some foods at 7/11.While we're buying we took some pictures.Taking this as a memories at 7/11.
After we buy,hours ago the street dancing start and it was so nice.
The contestants is sacrificing for the Sr. Santo Niño even though it's heat and fatigue but still they sacrifice to honor our Santo Niño.💗
After the street dancing we wait the presentation of each tribe.While we're waiting 6 o'clock in the evening I took some picture we're you can see the crowded people at Carmen.
Finally,the Sinulog Ritual Dance is started.We have contingent from local category and open category.The local category is the Barangay of municipality of carmen.While,the open category is from Cebu.
Local Category
The local category is the first who present their ritual dance.The local category have different Barangay's from municipality of Carmen.
Tribu San roque from Barangay Dawis Norte and Sur
Tribu San marino mananayaw from Lower natimao-an and Upper natiomao-an
Tribu ng Pundok mananayaw from Cantumog and Cogon west
Tribu nagka hiusang peuntehanon
Tribu Ipilacion from Ipil and Poblacion
Tribu Panaghi-usa from barangay Sac on and Lanipga
Tribu triumbayanon from barangay Hagnaya, Triumfo and Baring
Every contingent shows an incredible performance.Their costumes are giving and their props is so much expensive.They portray the dance about Santo Niño.Honoring a dance and sacrifices for our dear Sr. Santo Niño.
Open Category
After the local contingent the open category also started and present their ritual dance.Open category is from different "dakbayan sa sugbo" which also honor the Sr. Santo Niño at Municipality of Carmen.Their presentation good as well.Different kinds of rituals and also different costumes.Even though it's so far they still willing to present their difference dance to our Santo Niño.
And finally the ritual dance are over.While we're waiting who wins we took a picture together with my father.But, my father want to go home so we decided to go home even the winner not yet announced.We're so sleepy because it's already 12 o'clock.

I've long dreamed of visiting or joining the Sinulog Festival, but I'm just too far away. If only it were just a single jeepney ride away, I’m sure I’d be there already!
