Olah Hivers! How was your New Year’s Eve? Well I guess we've all enjoyed jumping, wishing an additional inch of our height hahahah just kidding. This is @kyyyys once again giving you another blog to read.
On the evening of December 31, 2024, my family and I eagerly prepared to welcome the New Year with a heartwarming tradition. At exactly 8:00 PM, we set off for St. Martin De Porres Parish Church to attend the 8:30 PM mass. It was a short 10 minutes ride to the church, so we went early so that we can secure a good spot near the church entrance.
Upon arriving, the seats were already occupied but luckily we bought our own chairs.
After the mass concluded, we took a few moments to capture photos together, preserving memories of this meaningful start to the New Year.
The priest's heartfelt message resonated deeply within me. “Dapat higugmaon nato ang atong isig ka tawo, labi na ang atong igsuon ug pamilya. Ayaw kamo pagdumot sa usag-usa; magpinasayloay kita.” ("We must love one another, especially our siblings and family. Do not hold grudges against one another, let us practice forgiveness.")

That’s what we prepared for our New Year's Eve Celebration
While were busy preparing, I set an alarm for 11:59 PM to ensure we’d gather and count down to the New Year together.
We went outside our house and saw our neighbors who are also outside. They were jumping, shouting, making loud noises using their motorcycles, cars and other vehicles. While some are using TOROTOT and other tools that will make loud noises. Some bought fire crackers and lighted it during New Year. We also enjoyed watching fireworks.
Later on, we headed back to our home and ate the food we prepared.
The New Year is a perfect time to celebrate with the people who matters most. For us, New Year's Eve is a time to reflect on the past, feel grateful, and look forward to the future. But when we share it with loved ones, it becomes even more special. a time for laughter and creating unforgettable memories.
Whether you're sitting by a warm fireplace, enjoying a tasty meal, or counting down to midnight with cheers, hugs, and jumping for joy, spending this night with family fills the occasion with love and happiness. Belated Happy New Year everyone🩷
