An unwanted creature found at home feels like I saw a dinosaur.

What would you do if you found this creature having a tour of your comfort room?

This wee hours, it was past three in the morning when my mother-in-law woke me up. She was in a rush, asking if I had a spray for insects.

There was a centipede

Thus, it was gone when I went out and handed over the spray. With the number of feet it had, it crawls too fast.

Washing clothes wasn't my plan, yet Caleb threw up in our bed. He had just finished 6oz of milk but was so energetic that he spit the milk.

Thinking our bedsheet would be stained if I didn't wash it immediately left me with no choice.

Also, I was thinking of cleaning out CR. The washing machine was placed here since no one was using it. Only on special occasions do we have visitors. Oh, mother-in-law at night if she had a call of nature. I did look for the centipede, yet I haven't found it.

I had already placed folded clothes in our cabinets past nine last night.

Caleb was asleep. My time to clean up unfinished chores

Leslie, hand me the spray! I heard my mother-in-law shouting while she was at the CR.

Ah, maybe she saw the centipede again. My thought.

I was so relaxed and went outside. I was about to spray but got scared upon seeing it!

OMG! Never thought it was that huge! I stepped back and was about to run inside the house. However, I realized that if I didn't help my mother, then who?

So I took a stick, yes I had one in the kitchen and another one in my bedroom. Told ya, I am sometimes paranoid; I even had a baseball bat 😆😅.

But it crawls too fast and hides at the corner.**

Do you have hot water? Mother asked.

Thank goodness, so I poured hot water and;

What a sad life for him; after he died, thoughts even rushed into my mind.

What if this centipede had a family waiting? A wife of husband?

What's worse, what if another one is still in the CR?

I don't know how it managed to get inside, as our house was fully concrete. Could it be it was already there since it was still a little?

This is why I don't like living in the countryside. Though no dense forest was nearby, the back of our house was still vacant.

It was even clean, as the owner had a lot of chickens and roosters.

Thus, this is not my first time seeing an unwanted creature in our home.

Last week, I saw a moth (tilas) leisurely walking on the floor in our living room. It was huge, like fingers. I shivered; that was so scary.

Yes, I believe I am a strong, independent woman, but that insect scares me!

Do you know the feeling that you are so scared that you have to face your fears?

1000063758.jpg

It would be fine if only them. They meant no harm, after all.

Might grasshopper? 🦗 As these are normal. Sometimes there are even bird poop on our porch, but pretty fine.

Just not those first two, please. 😬😬

Not that exaggerating, but it could be perilous, especially for Caleb.

I started writing this yesterday but only now I had a chance to finish 😆.

Well, as biologist and 'creator' of the "Fascinating Insect" community for me these little creatures are just ... fascinating - I actually love them. :-)

Thanks for dropping your community I will check it.

Aren't you afraid to be bitten?

Centipedes usually prefer to run away rather than bite humans (we’re a bit too large to serve as prey for them, hehe). However, it’s true that if you try to grab them with your hands, you need to be very careful to avoid getting bitten (better just don't grab them). :)

I was thinking of that too.
Just worried as find it at home and I have a baby who is in the grabbing stage.

If saw it outside, I considered it's territory. Then I will just it.

Thank you for your sharing yours knowledge.

Damn! These are so scary. I'm so glad you were able to kill it. Still, this bug would make a delicious snack for your chickens.

Also, this post reminded me of the giant wasp in my house. It was a terrible day!

Wasp? That bite stings!
I was bitten before and the area was swollen.

Thankful we able to kill it or I might ended up cleaning the whole house.

Centipede is just a normal sight nalang at home especially sa c.r talaga. Concrete kasi minsan may kawang kawang, dun sila nagtatago. Minsan under the Linoleum. Minsan lalabas yan siya habang naliligo ako. Pero kusa naman sila nalayo. I heard they eat those tiny insects daw that we can't see. I remember I used to kill them kaso after reading about it tinigil ko na. But if there's a kid you really have to kill no, no other choice. It may crawl to them and mas nakakatkot yon. Aguyyy. Di sila nakakatakot sila nakakagulat, oo. Haha

Oo, imagine kung nakapasok sa Bahay.
Tapos Caleb saw it, the color is attractive pa naman 😬

What if this centipede had a family waiting? A wife of husband?

hahahahahaha omg!! My kids had the same reaction when I accidentally squeezed a moth on the laundry. They were all, 'What if it has babies? They'll be orphans! Wag nyu na problemahin yun, di na natin yun problema! bwahahahah

Haha diba?
Basta Basta na lng Kasi tayo, di natin naiisip ang pamilyang naiwan 😆

 yesterday

yikes!!!

Baka Meron diyan witty

Oh if the CR was invaded by any insects of any size bring on the tp and they go in the downward whirlpool. But isn't at the wee times or when we're not prepared they show themselves though.

!LOLZ

It was so scary! Darn!
Especially that's my weakness, if hubby was here I might run away

I'll give it to you centipedes are a creepy alien like insect. Run out of house and not come back until husband assures you its all clear, haha

... centipedes are a creepy alien like insect.

To be exact, centipedes aren't insects at all (even if both, insects and centipedes) belong the the phylum arthropoda.
Insects always have six legs and a tripartite body (head, thorax, abdomen).
In case you are interested you might continue to read here.

Thanks for the information but I'm really not a bug guy.

Haha but husband isn't here 🤣,.sad part.

And quiet dangerous when you got bitten!

Maybe I better re-think the tp solution. Give me a rubber mallet, hulk smash. Haha but the smear, ewh.

I needed to buy a new pan to stir fry a large meal
I decided to go for a wok.
