My experience during the Feast Day was amazing. Here we have a little bonding in honor of St. Ghebre Michael our Patron Saint in our classroom section. As this quote said ''It is Always Better, We're
Together''-@lovelyclaire, I have learned what it means to build good relationships with your classmates.
Through the little bonding we had, we created a lot of meaningful experiences during that day, and I will forever treasure the memories that we made.
I remember during our time in the Marillac Garden located in the Banacod area, Bogo City, Cebu we had a little party, where we ate and played along with my classmates.
Delicious Foods
As you can see in the picture, there are many delicious foods that we eat such as fried chicken, spaghetti, and egg noodles " pancit"
There are also many snacks that our teacher bought for us as well which I am also thankful for since she made an effort to treat us.
I was so full after the party that I felt like my stomach would explode. I am also grateful that I have wonderful classmates who made the celebration more livelier and happier.
Karaoke Mode
My classmate also brought a speaker which made some of my friends happy because they like to sing some karaoke songs. I was amazed by them since they have a nice voice.
Speaking of the speakers, we also used them to play some music to match the vibe of the party. I was happy that I got to experience these things with my classmates.
Vegetables and Fruits
On the farm, there are many fruits and vegetables planted. You will see some eggplants, lemons, cranberries, starfruit, squash, and many other plants. I was amazed by how they got to plant all of these plants because it takes time and dedication to build and grow all of these things.
I was inspired to plant my vegetables and fruits after visiting this place. I believe that it is more efficient if you own a garden where you can just harvest your own.
Mangrove Area
The location of this garden is actually near the mangrove area. Before we got to this place we walked a little miles away from the school since it is a little far from where we are.
Speaking of mangroves, our school has a campaign of planting mangroves every year as it can help with all the living things across the sea, especially the fish; when there is a typhoon coming the mangroves will be their shelter to protect them from strong winds and hurricanes to come.
Recycling
We also have the recycling of all the plastics and bottles from our school. We separate the cups of the bottles including the plastics to be reused and grind them into small pieces to be mixed with cement for building other flower and vegetable beds.
I was very happy that we get to do this since we get to help Mother Earth by recycling all the waste that comes from the production of goods which is plastics. About 4 sacks of plastic bottles that we had recycled already. I am thankful that I got to do this because I know it can help to improve and save our environment. Our Feast Day is not only for us to have fun but also to help the environment better.
Reflection
I'm so grateful and glad that I was given the chance to participate in an event like this. Recycling could help maintain cleanliness in our environment the garbage is minimized through it. We were able to recycle 4 bags of plastic bottles.
Imagine how many bottles we recycle and if we let them scattered around, what likely happen to our environment? Oh my God! We don't let this happen to our Mother Earth. Let's make the Earth a better place to live. We can do it in a little way. So let's join our hands together to save our Mother Earth!
