Greetings everyone,
I hope we are all doing well. Today I'm going to show and share with you just one thing that lightened my mood last week.
Yes, it would have been last week, but I'm busy with work again, so it's a bit difficult to divide the time to make a little update here on HIVE because I'm adjusting to work again so sometimes the posting is delayed.
Last election day I was able to visit my family in the mountains it’s because I wanted to give my uncle support since he ran as barangay Captain in our area for his last term.
It's disappointing to admit but in truth, I'm not registered there and I'm registered with us where I live on the hubby's side so by going after I finished casting my vote I went on to serve Uncle Watchers for election day. I helped in cooking, packing free meals, and delivering food to the supporters in each precinct.
Because of this, I realized that I visited unexpectedly my first school again where I learned a lot and made unforgettable memories.
At the time of my visit to deliver the goods it was already noontime, and the voting was already cut off so it didn't show a lot of people but just assigned teachers and supporters to each candidacy.
Anyway, I will tell you about some parts of the school that I remember from my childhood days.
In our school, there were many entrances before because they had not been completely repaired, but this was one of our entrances. It was very simple before that pathway didn't exist.
When you enter the way, this is the small passage, this is where my classmates and I used to play we stretched our hands and feet to reach each wall when going up and then let go down at the same time.
This is our very cute stage. I am happy to think that this is where I received my first award in my entire life.
This is also one of our playgrounds where from the stage we jumped down to the side of the stage over and over again and now that I realized why we were so happy then? Haha. I don't think our stage has changed much, but the good thing about the front part is that it has a big roof now because back then when there were presentations or programs in school was hot for us and when it rains, we get wet.
Now this part is our garden back then. Sadly, there aren't many plants. During my time there were a lot of flowering plants here and in our vegetable gardens and there were a lot of vegetables. Back then, we competed in beautifying our gardens.
Our teacher even asked us to bring organic fertilizer for our garden before he signed our clearance for the exam.
This is one of my classrooms. On my left side is my 3rd grade and on the right side is my 4th grade classroom.
This is also the back portion of the school but I only focus where the wash area is. We also played a lot of traditional games here before but now it used to be a parking area since most of the faculty and students have their service already.
This used to be vacant and because our population is growing now, the government is adding more resources. The only beauty of the province is that the land is wide, so even if a school is added, the students still have a big playground, but I believe there are only a few students play traditional games now like we used to because they are usually addicted to cell phones.
Now my former school is really exquisite but I also miss its old look but you know that nowadays it is modern so we should also appreciate the improvements.
There's so much more I want to share with you about this unforgettable place, but I have to go back to sleep now because I have work to do tonight. How I wish we could go back to a time when all we thought about was playing and not problems, but now it's all about bills to pay. Haha anyway, thanks for reading, and see you again.
It's nostalgic going back to the memories engraved in each sight you had in your former school. I also casted my vote at the school where I finished grade school. So how was the result, did your uncle win?
That's true, the feeling is really good. As for the result, it's sad, unfortunately, my uncle lost. It's a pity that many people know how much good and improvements my uncle has done in the barangay and because you already know how dirty elections are in the Philippines if you don't have much to give no matter how good you are there is no point. But it's okay everyone has the freedom to vote.
