Hello, I think this is my first time posting here on Hive PH, and I am so glad to be part of this community. Thank you for the warm welcome! On March 31, 2025, my sister celebrated her son's birthday at his school in Lapasan. I surprised my nephew with a birthday cake, marking my first experience attending an event like this.
I was genuinely happy to see how spirited and lively the kids were in the classroom. They were thrilled to see the food and cake! It was a simple celebration with modest food, but the atmosphere was joyful. The teacher was very enthusiastic and embraced this kind of celebration, allowing the kids to enjoy themselves.
I took photos during the event to capture this heartwarming moment of my nephew and his classmates. At the time, he had canker sores, which made him unable to smile fully despite his desire to.
We had a photo session before lunch—first with the classmates, then the teacher, followed by the parents who were present.
After the photo op, we all enjoyed lunch together. The kids lined up, and the birthday boy handed out packed lunches and birthday packs filled with snacks. Each child received their food, and they returned to their seats to eat. You could see their pure innocence as they savored the free lunch, and many took food and candies home. The packed lunches included chicken, rice, and gravy, which are popular choices among kids. They also enjoyed juice with their meals.
One boy was particularly mischievous, and after lunch, the children played before class began at 1 PM. He lay on the clean floor, though his white uniform was likely to get dirty. Parents often struggle to keep their children’s clothes clean after events like this! The school has a rule that requires students to either remove their shoes or wear foot socks/covers inside the classroom.

The classroom was filled with chaos as the kids ran back and forth, clearly enjoying themselves. I miss the old times, and I believe we should cherish each moment and find happiness in everything we do. It's important to be grateful and to maintain a cheerful attitude!
