ALL ABOUT MYSELF
Hello, everyone! I hope you're all having a great day. To be honest, I feel a mix of excitement and nervousness as I write this because it's my first time sharing my life story on a social media platform. I don’t know how it will turn out, but regardless of the outcome, what matters most is that I’m staying positive and giving it a try! So, let me introduce myself—I’m Remelyn V. Rodero, 25 years old, and turning 26 on May 8, 2025.
I live in Molave, Zamboanga del Sur, Philippines, a place surrounded by beautiful natural spots like Eriberta Spring Resort and Mabanag Spring Resort, which are just a short distance from my home. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend visiting our municipality!
I’m the eldest daughter of Mr. Ricky and Mrs. Ludelyn Rodero, and I have four younger siblings—three brothers and one sister. My father is a carpenter, and he has been the sole provider for our family ever since I was young. His hard work put food on our table and supported our education. My mother, on the other hand, is a dedicated housewife who has always taken care of us and guided us as we grew up, especially since my father had to work far from home to support us. It wasn’t easy being away from him, but as I got older, I learned to understand and appreciate the sacrifices he made for us.
Despite our simple life, I was determined to study hard. By God’s grace, I graduated from high school and was ready to pursue college. I initially wanted to take up Nursing, but the tuition was too expensive, so I opted for a Business Administration course at Blancia College Foundation Inc., a private school here in Molave.
Time passed quickly, and before I knew it, I was in my fourth year, nearing the finish line. Through all the challenges and sacrifices, I finally achieved my dream of earning a degree—not just for myself, but for my parents as well. After graduation, I took a short break at home as my parents advised me to enjoy some time off before looking for a job.
A month later, I started submitting applications, and by God’s grace, I landed my first job as an Accounting Staff at Citi Star Trade Dev’t Corp. I never expected to stay here for long, but six years later, I’m still here! I’m truly grateful for my job because it allows me to support my family and give back to my parents and siblings.
MY HOBBIES AND INTERESTS
I enjoy cooking, dancing, reading, writing, and singing. But out of all my hobbies, singing is my greatest passion. Back in grade school and high school, I used to join singing competitions. Even now, whenever I’m stressed, singing helps me relax and forget my worries.
Lately, I’ve developed a strong interest in traveling. I dream of exploring new places and making beautiful memories with my family. I want to experience new things with my parents and siblings while we’re all together—because family time is precious.
WHY I JOINED HIVE
One of my main reasons for joining Hive is to improve my communication skills. I’m naturally introverted, and I struggle with interacting with people. Whether at work or at home, I’m used to being on my own.
Even when I have personal struggles—whether family-related or work-related. I find it hard to open up to others. I hope that by joining Hive, I can slowly learn to express myself without fear of judgment.
HOW I DISCOVERED HIVE
I’ve been working at my current company for several years, and one time, the IT department was hiring. Many people applied, but only one person, @Vinzie1, got the job. He quickly became well-liked by everyone because of his fun personality and great sense of humor. Even though we worked in different departments—he was in IT while I was in Accounting—we still became friends, and he was like an older brother to us. I also want to thank @wittyzell for helping me creating this account and onboarded me here in hive.
During our lunch breaks, he would often talk about Hive and how it’s a great platform where you can freely share your thoughts and experiences. He kept encouraging us to try it out, saying that here, you can post about your life events and things that matter to you without feeling restricted—as long as you follow the guidelines. His enthusiasm sparked my curiosity, and that’s how I decided to give Hive a try!

Yahallo! Welcome to Hive! I just that like where your parents give you time to rest after you graduate. It's just so sweet lang ba. Sound like you have a very considerate and loving parents. And it's amazing too that you found a job din agad ✨✨☺️. Anyways Good Luck on your future travel plans. That's a very expensive hobby though. But at least you'll get to enjoy different places naman. You can also share that journey here, we also love to see the places you'll plan to visit. Who knows bak di pa napupuntahan ng iba yarn.
