Hi there, dear friends of Hive! Macjulez here, bringing you a glimpse of what I experienced a few days ago-something that brings back some happy memories that are making me smile as I write this one. Without further ado, let's goo!
Every time we visit our grandmother's family house on my father's side, I always take the chance to see their blooming backyard with tall bamboo and other trees that provide shade and an aesthetic view. The green surrounding and the sky attract a cozy vibe and made me feel comfortable and relaxed.
Behind these towering trees is a river, mainly known as the Mestizo River. It cannot be seen clearly in the photos because I did not go nearer to it since it was a bit rainy at that time. The land there is very soft, and it might erode. Further, there are insects roaming around the area. I am not afraid of them though, but I just don't think it's best to go near the river at that time.
By the way, it was my Lola's birthday when these photos were taken. She just celebrated her 90th birthday. At such an age, she is still as active as she was in her younger years, and believe it or not, she can still dance as if her bones were as strong as ever. I have recorded a video of it but for privacy purposes, I can't share it with you.
We went there early to help in preparing the food and other matters and I just really take a few minutes to take a look at this part. It's been a while since the last time I take a closer look at it, so yeah, I satisfied my curiosity this time.
During the celebration, I get to see my other cousins again. Some even go here to Vigan from another province, and some from abroad just to celebrate this momentous milestone and celebration. I am very happy not only because it is another blessing from God, but also because we have an amazing family. We may not all see each other often but the bond is very intact.
It is in such celebrations like this that we are able to have more time bonding with each other and catching up with each and every one. Though I am not very expressive and I am just at one corner at that time, I was smiling genuinely. No words can explain the feeling. But here's the catch, I know that I am happy.
