Fulfilling Favor: An Errand to Seek the Rare Medicine at Carmen, Cebu

Good day Hivers!

This is madimoire again on the house, How are you all doing? Are you having fun for today? Well, Now it's a new time to share fun-filled experiences with you all. This day seemed to be filled with rush and excitement since I got to experience being told to do an errand that plays crucial part in someone's well being.

It was a cloudy day in our little hometown and the sun did not seem to be in the mood to make an appearance, I could only share how hard it is to have a set of laundry that has been a pain to dry off because of the weather. As I've finished doing my morning duty, I am now set to have some fun and leisure with my phone to read Webtoons and later on overthink about life, that's just how unproductive I am since all I wanna do is to laze all day but relaxation was not on my side since I've been told to buy a set of medicine for my cousin. I was skeptical at first since the job looked important and I felt like maybe I'd mess up but a sudden adrenaline rush urged me to take this responsibility and I wanna wander around some places too.

I was told to buy the medicine at a Mercury Drugstore located in Carmen, Cebu.

It was quite far since I still had to travel through public transportation within one hour and that also included the bus stop which is needed for a certain transportation liner. The weather had never been good to start at and yet I need to hurry up since going home late would be too much of a hassle since it's the weekend and mostly the busses will be fully loaded with commuters.

The weather in Carmen, Cebu was relatively similar as to what we have in Borbon, it appears to me that the sun was not yet in the mood to make an appearance there which makes my errand a lot more convenient since I'm fond of walking outside without having to bear too much heat since I would be sweating a lot, that's just how annoying I am. Moving forward, I did buy most of the medicine in the Mercury Drugstore but there was this one medicine that they ran out of stock, I was getting nervous at that time since I knew how important it was for my cousin to take her meds completely. I was left with no choice but to go to another drugstore to make the most of my time.

As I reach the exit, I see this dog that looks so peaceful while sleeping which is why I can't help but take some pictures, sadly I can't bring it home since it's too big already but I do hope that it will lead a healthy life ahead.

I decided to go into some other pharmacy to check if I'd be able the buy the prescribed medicine, I walked through the Three Sixty Pharmacy but sadly it didn't have any stock, I was almost panicking at that time since I just couldn't dare to go home while having the errand incomplete that's why I try to look further for there are still the pharmacies in the area, I've decided next to go to a Pharmacy in the market but once again they just don't have anything of the sort, My second to the last target was The Generica Drugstore, it was only a small pharmacy but it also has a lot of medicine to offer and yet as same as the previous ones, they just run out of stock for it. Now onward to my last hope, I quickly enter the Metro Supermarket since the pharmacist from the Generica Drugstore offered me to try going in there.

The Metro Pharmacy had quite a few customers at that time but I held onto the hope that maybe I could find the medicine and buy it, I guess at this point, I can say that "Patience is a Virtue" the pharmacist there had taken minutes to find the thing that I need and I was really happy since I get to fulfill my errand.

All I wanted at that time was to rush home since I badly wanted to sleep and I felt tired from all the walks that I had to go through, I even reached my target steps it was an exhausting weekend yet a fulfilling one for me at that time, I only did buy some bread for a quick snack and decided to eat some fried chicken to at least appease my hunger, I'm just gonna have a full meal at home.

Now that I've finished eating I am now waiting for a bus it took almost 30 minutes for the bus to appear and it was also fully loaded since many workers from the city were going home because of the long weekend, On August 26, 2024, Filipinos are to celebrate the National Heroes Day and it was a non-working holiday for some workers that's why they plan to spend the vacation on their home from the province.

The atmosphere was greater than before and I think it's perfect weather to chill around and do some relaxation at home. Today had been long and I encountered a lot of things I've even made a realization that if we want to achieve something then with all our strength and capacity, we should always try to grasp it within our hands, we may fail at many attempts but giving up could only lead to regrets if we are fully aware that we can have something if only we try to do more than what we are told to, that even if we don't exactly get to have the things that we want if we persevere then success will fall upon us. It was new to me to share a blog that was different from my previous ones since mostly I would love to share my venture in nature but it didn't seem bad to share something like this for once in a while, since it's also nice to share something different yet some may able to appreciate little hurdles that may come in life.
