3rd Day
Morning and Sunrise
The third day, I didn't turn the 4:30 am alarm. I told myself to get up early to atleast witness the sunrise before going home.
It was a little past 5 am that I went to the beach. I was a bit worried cause the sky looked gloomy but still went to the shoreline.
On my way, I saw my colleagues going to the same direction and so I caught up with them and upon arriving, they started throwing stones and counting how many times it bounced before totally being eaten by the sea.
After that, they already went to enjoy the beach for the last time. As for me, I don't want to dip into the sea cause I already took a bath and I don't want to rush later for the seminar.
This is them.before dipping into the saltwater- Sir Ben and Sir Rap
I used my time walking and playing with the waves that comes up the shore. The sun sure took its sweet time. I got bored waiting but as I was looking for a place to sit, Mr. Harruel and Mr. Dave came to join the other two. But before joining, we also chatted for a bit.
sorry for taking a pic from afar
After this, sir Harruel taught a little about taking photos of the wave but since I was scared ghat my phone might be wet, I didn't do it. 🤣
What's funny is that when I was waiting for the sunrise, I never thought it would appear on the opposite side pf the beach 🤣. Man! I am ignorant. What I know is that all sunrise and sunsets are seen on the beach. Silly me. 🤣
at last it came
And so, I just smiled and took photos of the sunrise. I couldn't get a good angle then and this was the time I realized, I need to have a new phone with a good camera to be able to capture beautiful moments beautifully. And so I decided to save up for it from what I am earning here in Hive.
Can you suggest a phone with a good camera?
But here are the photos I took while on the beach.
After my morning stroll, I went to the pavilion to have my breakfast.
Good timing cause I saw my roommates coming that way too. And so, we ate together.
ma'am Shy
yummy breakfast!
I already ate some before taking a pic. 🤣
After eating, I went back to our room to change clothes and get my things for the seminar. I left my roommates cause they saw someone they know and chatted for a while.
during seminar
While on the seminar, the facilitators discussed the last part of the Contingency Plan and gave us time to prepare the draft. We had pur snacks while rushing to finish our plans. Our last snack was Puto with Cheese paired with a juice which I didn't took a photo.
Puto with Cheese...have you tried this with dinuguan?
After this, they gave us a link to where we can submit our outputs. This went on until our lunch. I was still full from the Puto but I dont want to miss lunch as this is our last meal form there.
The Lumpiang Shanghai was superb. I really like the food at Paradiso. I hope you can go there too and experience it yourself.
After lunch, We already went to our rooms to secure our things. check out was 12 and so we returned the key to the Front Desk and placed our bags in the seminar room.
Our last session was giving of certificates and picture taking...
photo is from ma'am Zarate, our DRRM District Coordinator
Can you guess where I am in the picture? 🤣
I also asked my old colleague (in the Hospital where I used to work) to take a picture together.
Mr. Jes- we were told that we looked like siblings. 🤣 maybe it's because pf our cheeks!
So after that, we already placed our bags on the Municipal Van that will take us home.
Another Side Trip
On our way home, we cannot help but talk and tell stories till we mentioned "halo halo", a Filipino desert/merienda...We AOs looked at each other and in unison said "Thank you" to sir Roger, one of the School Heads. So with this, we convinced him to buy us halo halo on our way home.
my "kakuntsabas" in asking for halo halo 🤣
We stopped at Pugo, La Union and there, we went to an ice cream shop that serves halo halo. Thanks to sir Roger, our craving for halo halo is answered. 😊
Halo-halo literally means "mix-mix" and this is mandatory to enjoy the taste of the halo-halo.
more mixing 🤣
Here's the Ice cream shop. They also serve pizza but we didn't order cause it's only halo halo we're craving for.
This is how the halo-halo looked like before mixing. This one's worth 89 pesos.
We enjoyed our halo halo with stories and laughter. It's like our headaches form the seminar were flushed away.
After the halo halo, we already went home...and that was the end of our three-day Seminar. It was a great experience for us. Not only the Seminar Proper but the whole three-day trip. I am sure that all of us had our happy memories during this trip.
Goodbye Paradiso Beach Resort
Takeaways
You have to make an effort to achieve your goals.
The sun doesn't always rise from where you're expecting it to rise 🤣-literally and not literally.
One can enjoy little things when in good company.
Thank you again for being with me! ☺️
Wow. Ganda naman dyan. Di pa ako nakakapunta dyan kahit dinadaanana ko lang pag pumupunta ako ng la union
Make sure to visit the place! they're still improving it though 😊. Yun lang walang TV ang rooms but it's okay kasi you can enjoy naman the whole place. Ambiance, feels and the food is awesome too!
