Simala Shrine: A Sacred Sanctuary
"blogserye" (blog series), I will be featuring my travel and visit to Simala Shrine in Sibonga, Cebu. Come join me as I share here with you some snaps of my visit and how my day turned out during my visit.Hello dear hivers, I am @marfeatures, and I am back with a new blog. How are you? I hope you are all doing good. For today's
My examination day is fast approaching; I can't help but feel nervous. I don't know what the future holds for me. But one thing I am certain of is that I will do my best and let God handle the rest. My friend invited me to go to Simala Shrine in Sibonga, Cebu, to ask for guidance and pray for our upcoming exam. By the way, they are also with me during my review; we are classmates in the review center. I am glad they've invited me for Simla.
I really wanted to be at Simala since I have heard several good things about the shrine. Also, the structure was perfectly stunning. That's why when someone asked me to go, I never hesitated and cleared my schedule that day. I am so excited to see the place for the first time. According to my mother and father, who had the chance to be there, they told me many beautiful things about Simala. I should go there someday, I told myself.
How to get there?
And the time has come; I will be able to see Simala in person. The night prior to our departure, I am busy packing up my essentials to bring for the trip. I was so excited that I even wasn't able to sleep during the night. I woke up so early and got ready for the long ride. We agreed to meet at EMall; from the mall, we rode a van for hire going directly to Simala Shrine. It was indeed a long ride; it's almost 3 hours or more. After the ride, we are now at the shrine. I am so happy to finally visit the place; it feels so good to be at Simala.
What to expect at Simala?
Upon arriving, the beautiful landscape and stunning architecture of the place stumble upon my sight. I was so mesmerized by what I saw; there were several devotees in the place. I can't contain my feelings while I'm inside. It was indeed a nice experience; Simala was a great place to have a good little talk with God. It was solemn and peaceful. Aside from its religious significance, it also served as a tourist attraction for both local and foreign tourists.
You can buy some stuff like bracelets and candles if you want to offer a prayer; each candle has its own meaning depending on its color. For me, I have bought red and green colored candles worth 40 pesos each. Green stands for success, and red is for family. I bought green and red because I want to be successful together with my family. How about you? Have you been to Simala? If yes, share your experience in the comment section; I would love to hear from you.
Overall, it was a fantastic experience. I really love the place, and I will surely come back soon. If you want a peaceful and quiet place to connect with God, Simala is the perfect spot for you. Aside from religious matters, you will surely enjoy the place as it offers a great landscape and scenery; it's a castle-like architecture. I promise you won't regret it; the long hour ride from Cebu City is worth the wait. After posing some snaps, we then bid our goodbye to Simala with a promise of coming back.
That's all for now, Hivers. I hope you've enjoyed reading my blog. Help me reach a bigger audience by upvoting, commenting, and reblogging. Have a great day ahead, everyone. See you in my next blog. Bye bye! 👋💗🌷✨
