Step Right Up: The One and Only Has Arrived!

in Hive PH3 days ago
Hello! My name is Marianne Love Custodio, but you can just call me Marianne. I'm 22 years old, and I'm currently studying Education major in Social Studies. My life so far has been a wonderful mix of learning, growing, and figuring things out, and I know there's so much more to explore in the years ahead. Life is a never-ending journey of discovery.

One thing about me is that I'm a very people-oriented person. Some people recharge by being alone, but I get my energy from spending time with others. Whether it's hanging out with friends or having family get-togethers, I thrive everyone I meet has a unique story or lesson to share, and I'm always eager to listen. When I talk with people, I find that I learn so much from their experiences, perspectives, and ideas. We all have different backgrounds, but that's what make every conversation interesting. I try to keep an open mind, because sometimes the most unexpected conversations teach me the most. And no matter who I talk to, I always leave feeling like I've grown just a little bit more.

When it comes to academics, I wouldn't say I'm the smartest person in the room, but I try my best. I've always believed that with hard work and determination, you can improve in anything. Sure, there are times when I don't get something right away, and that can be frustrating. But instead of giving up, I remind myself that learning takes time. It's okay not to understand everything the first time you hear it. Sometimes, I have to go over the same thing multiple times before it clicks, and that's perfectly fine. Everyone has their own pace of learning, and the key is not to rush. I remind myself that I'm not in a competition with anyone except myself. As long as I keep putting in the effort, I know I'll improve.

I also believe that learning isn't something that ends when you leave school. In fact, I think learning is something that we continue to do throughout our lives. Every day offers a new opportunity to learn something, whether it's a new skill, a new hobby, or a fresh perspective on something. I love how every experience big or small adds to who I am. Whether it's reading a book, talking to someone new, or even just trying I've never done before, I know there's always something to be gained. Even when something is difficult or I don't immediately understand it, I remind myself that it's all part of the process. Hard work and persistence can solve almost any problem, and that's a lesson I'll take with me for the rest of my life.
For me, it's not about being the best or the smartest person in the room. What matters most is that I stay determined and believe in myself. No one is perfect, and there will always be challenges along the way. But with effort, patience, and a positive attitude, I know I can overcome them. School is important, but I've also realized that the real value of education is not just in the grades you get or the tests you pass, it's in the person you become through the process. As I continue on my educational journey, my goal is to grow not just as a student but also as a person.

Another thing I'm passionate about is singing. While I'm not a professional, singing is one of my favorite ways to express myself. Whether I'm singing along to my favorite songs at home or with friends, it brings me joy. Singing is more than just making noise, it's a way to release emotions that can be hard to express with words. It's my form of therapy, helping me feel better when I'm tired. Sometimes, all it takes is a good song to lift my mood and remind me to enjoy the little moments. Music has a unique power to connect people and bring out feelings that words can't say. For me, that's what makes singing so special.

I also love trying new things. Whether it's picking up a new hobby, trying a new type of food, or learning about a different culture, I'm always up for something new. The world is full of opportunities to discover, and I want to experience as much of it as I can. Every time I try something new, it feels like I'm adding a little more depth to who I am. It doesn't have to be anything big, a small discovery can be just as exciting as a major one. Life is all about growth, and I believe that every new experience adds value to our lives.

When it comes to sports, I'm more of a spectator than a player. I love watching basketball and football because they're fast-paced, exciting, and full of energy. The atmosphere of a live game or even just watching with friends is so thrilling. I love the way people come together to support their teams and cheer for their favorite players. Even though I'm not great at playing sports myself (I'm definitely not going to be joining a professional team anytime soon), I enjoy the camaraderie and the excitement that come with watching the game. There's something about sharing that moment of victory or defeat with others that makes sports so special. It's not about being the best player, it's about being part of something bigger, cheering for a team, and celebrating those moments together.

While I may not be the best at playing sports, I admire the athletes who do. I've learned that sports are about more than just winning, they teach teamwork, resilience, and how to keep pushing forward even when things aren't going well. These are lessons that apply to life in general, and I believe, everyone can take something valuable away from watching a game or being part of a sports community. As I said before, I'm studying to become a successful person. I've always been interested in how society works and how history shapes the world we live in. Studying Social Studies gives me a deeper understanding of the world, and it's something I'm passionate about. Understanding our history and society helps us build a better future.

By the way, I discovered HIVE through @jeannmazing, and I'm so glad I did! I'm excited to be part of this community and share my thoughts experiences, and what I've learned so far. I look forward to connecting with others, exchanging ideas, and continuing to learn from everyone here.

Learning is a continuous process, it never stops.
As a future teacher you can proceed to masters then Doctoral 😆.

Also aside from academics we learned much in life that made us more wiser as we grow up.

Good luck to your studies

Yes, there's always a room for learning.
I'm also having second thoughts to proceed 😆
